Ontario Human Rights. The parties agree that in accordance with the provisions of the Ontario Human Rights Code there shall be no discrimination against any employee by the Union or the College because of race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, citizenship, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, record of offences, marital status, family status or disability. Accommodation, if it is requested by the employee and it is determined to be required, is the duty of the College, the Union and the employee.

Ontario Human Rights. (a) The Operator covenants and agrees to comply with the provisions of the Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c.H.19.
Ontario Human Rights. The parties agree that in accordance with the provisions of the Ontario Human Rights Code there shall be no discrimination against any employee by the Company or the Union, because of race, ancestry, place of origin, color, ethnic origin, citizenship, creed, sex, sexual orientation, age, record of offences, marital status, family status or handicap. This provision shall be interpreted in accordance with and subject to the provision of the Code. Both parties agree that Human Rights training is an important step in this direction. Accordingly, the Company will provide up to three (3) hours of Human Rights training per employee in the bargaining unit during the course of this Agreement. Among other items, this training should include elements such as: Human Rights awareness; Honeywell’s Code of Conduct, policies, and reporting procedures; and, the CAW’s commitment to helping maintain a respectful workplace that is free from unlawful harassment and discrimination. Accommodation, if it is requested by the employee and it is determined to be required, is the responsibility of the Human Resources Department and the employee. In attempting to resolve complaints, the parties may seek the assistance from other resources available within their respective organizations. The complainant may also choose the Union’s Human Rights Representative to assist him/her in presenting the complaint to the Human Resource Department.

  • Civil Rights X. Xxxxxxx agrees to comply with state and federal anti-discrimination laws, including:

  • Department of Health and Human Services An employee notified of a positive controlled substance or alcohol test result may request an independent test of their split sample at the employee’s expense. If the test result is negative, the Employer will reimburse the employee for the cost of the split sample test. An employee who has a positive alcohol test and/or a positive controlled substance test may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal, based on the incident that prompted the testing, including a violation of the drug and alcohol free work place rules.

  • Employee Health and Safety A. When the University requires an employee to use or wear health or safety equipment, such equipment will be provided by the University.

  • California Minimum Wage i. Subrecipient must follow the California enacted legislation signed by the Governor of California, raising the minimum wage for all industries (MW-2007). (AB 1835, CH230, Stats of 2006, adding sections 1182.12 and 1182.13 to the California Labor Code.) Pursuant to its authority under Labor Code section 1182.13, the Department of Industrial Relations amends and republishes Sections, 1, 2, 3, and 5 of the General Minimum Wage Order. MW- 2001, Section 4, Separability, has not been changed. Consistent with this enactment, amendments are made to the minimum wage, and the meals and lodging credits sections of all of the IWC’s industry and occupation orders. This summary must be made available to employees in accordance with the IWC’s wage orders. Copies of the full text of the amended wage orders may be obtained by ordering on-line at xxx.xxx.xx.xxx/XX.xxx or by contacting your local Division of Labor Standards Enforcement office.

  • Civil Rights Compliance The parties to this Agreement are responsible for the following:

  • Health & Safety (a) The Employer and the Union agree that they mutually desire to maintain standards of safety and health in the Home, in order to prevent injury and illness and abide by the Occupational Health and Safety Act as amended from time to time.
