Observation and Evaluation. Observation and evaluation of teaching distance video classes shall be in accordance with the terms of the collective bargaining agreement between the Association and the Superintendent. Tapes of lessons shall not be used for evaluation, and evaluators shall observe the teacher’s class by their physical presence within the classroom, rather than monitoring of the lesson via a television monitor.

Observation and Evaluation. Procedures The district has elected to evaluate “Accomplished” teachers once every three (3) years consistent with ORC 3319.111. The district has elected to evaluate “Skilled” teachers once every two (2) years consistent with ORC 3319.111. The district has elected to evaluate “Developing” and “Ineffective” teachers annually consistent with ORC 3319.111. Formal observations will include entire lesson or class period of at least thirty (30) minutes. Evaluators in evaluation documentation (formal observations, documented walkthroughs and summative evaluations) shall rely only on school records or substantiated information. Members shall have ten (10) school calendar days beyond the observation conference to present evidence to support/refute classroom observations. The evaluator will be considered to have met the deadlines of this Article if the evaluator completed his/her responsibilities timely but altered, amended or supplemented his/her evaluation activities or documentation based on the Member’s presentation.

Observation and Evaluation. A. The strength of the educational program rests primarily in the abilities of the teacher. Therefore, to encourage maximum use of each teacher's talent, the teachers, administration and Board have met together to establish a valid teacher evaluation plan. Teacher evaluations will follow the procedure as set forth in Supplement C of this Agreement. However, the contents of any evaluations are not subject to grievance or arbitration and shall be subject to the applicable provision of the Pennsylvania School Code, as amended.
