NOTIFICATION IN CASE OF ABSENCE. All absences shall be reported in accordance with written procedures. As soon as the necessity for absence is known, the member shall notify Substitute Services and, whenever possible, the principal or his/her designee. A twenty-four (24) hour answering system shall be used by Substitute Services. Should an absence continue beyond a single day, the member shall notify the building (if known before 2:30 p.m.). After 2:30 p.m., the member shall follow the procedures above. If a member fails to notify the building of a continued absence prior to 2:30 p.m., the substitute teacher shall be released, and the responsibility for substitute coverage of the class rests with the member.

NOTIFICATION IN CASE OF ABSENCE. A. Teachers assigned to the Bloomfield Building shall make every effort to call the designated person between 6 A.M. and 6:15 A.M. on the day of the absence or when possible, calls can be made prior to 11 P.M. the night before to report absences from work due to personal illness or an emergency illness in the family.
