The Head needs to be aware of any matters that are relevant to the Pupil's safety and security.
The Head shall act with procedural fairness in all such cases, and shall have regard to the interests of the Pupil and the Parents as well as those of the School.
The Head is entitled to exercise a wide discretion in relation to the School's policies, rules and regime and will exercise those discretions in a reasonable and lawful manner, and with procedural fairness when the status of the Pupil is at issue.
The Head may at any time require a medical opinion or certificate as to the Pupil's general health where the Head considers it necessary as a matter of professional judgement in the interests of the Pupil and / or the School community.
The Head of the Principal unit or designated representative shall meet with the employee and the Union representative and render a written decision within twenty (20) days after receiving the written appeal.
