Medical Leave/Salary Continuation Period. The House Officer may qualify for up to three months of paid leave with benefits due to a personal health condition, extended illness or disability, where appropriate under the Salary Continuation Period. The length of time that the House Officer will be paid will be determined by the treating Physician and how long the House Officer remains disabled. The House Officer must follow Leave of Absence procedures detailed in Article III, Section 14 and submit certification from the treating physician. Additional certification from the treating physician may be requested at intervals and certification for a clearance must be received by the Program Director prior to the House Officer’s return to work. It will be the responsibility of the Program Director to notify GME of the House Officer’s return to work, and to determine if this leave of absence affects the requirements of the individual Specialty Board and/or program and if additional time will be required to advance in or complete the program.

  • Salary Continuation If the Executive becomes totally disabled during the term of this Agreement, his full salary shall be continued for 360 days from the date of the disabling injury or onset of the disability illness.

  • Benefit Period Following the Qualifying Period you will receive a monthly income until the earlier of:

  • Vacation Leave on Retirement ‌ An employee scheduled to retire and to receive pension benefits under the Public Service Pension Plan Rules or who has reached the mandatory retiring age, shall be granted full vacation entitlement for the final calendar year of service.

  • Sick Leave Bonus For every six (6) months of perfect sick leave attendance after July 1, 1987, the employee will receive eight (8) hours of bonus time. This bonus time will be prorated for part-time employees. Such bonus time can be used for any leave purpose covered by this Agreement.   • Sick Leave Benefits Sick leave is an indemnity benefit and not an acquired right. A Nurse who is absent from a scheduled shift on approved sick leave shall only be entitled to sick leave pay if the Nurse is not otherwise receiving pay for that day, and providing the Nurse has sufficient sick leave credits.

  • Accrued Sick Leave The Board shall provide all employees with a cumulative record 23 of accrued sick leave hours on each pay statement.

  • Sick Leave Benefit There are two types of sick leave benefits. Annual sick leave is the sick leave days credited each year to each employee in accordance with the provisions of the local collective bargaining agreements. Banked sick leave is previously accumulated unused sick leave to which unused annual sick leave may be added at the end of each anniversary year.

  • Sick Leave Reimbursement An employee who has received sick leave benefits for injuries caused by a third party shall be obliged, in the event such employee undertakes an action for recovery of damages against the third party, to seek recovery of the total cost of wages and benefits paid to the employee while on sick leave. The employee shall be obliged to reimburse the Employer to the extent the employee succeeded in recovering such wages and benefits. This provision includes claims made to ICBC.

  • Date of Termination “Date of Termination” means the date of receipt of the Notice of Termination or any later date specified therein, as the case may be; provided, however, that (i) if the Executive’s employment is terminated by the Company other than for Cause or Disability, the Date of Termination shall be the date on which the Company notifies the Executive of such termination and (ii) if the Executive’s employment is terminated by reason of death or Disability, the Date of Termination shall be the date of death of the Executive or the Disability Effective Date, as the case may be.
