Leave to be given and taken. I The annual leave provided for by this clause will be allowed and taken. However, an employee seeking annual leave must provide Armaguard with at least six (6) weeks notice of their intention to take annual leave. However, Management recognises that on some occasions employees will be unable to provide six weeks notice of their application for annual leave. On these occasions they will discuss their concerns with their Branch Manager in an endeavour to arrange for an alternatively but mutually agreeable arrangement. Management will in all circumstances approve an application for annual leave subject to the requirements of the business and having regard to the employee’s needs.
Leave to be given and taken. The annual leave provided for by this clause shall be allowed and shall be taken, and except as provided in 24.4, payment shall not be made or accepted in lieu of annual leave. If the Employer fails to grant leave within the period of any postponement thereof mentioned in 24.4, and is convicted on that ground for a breach of this Agreement and the employee is not a consenting party to such failure, the Employer shall, in addition to the wages payable under 24.6, also pay to such employee a further sum equal to the wages payable under 24.6.
