Jury Leave and Court Leave. An employee who is summoned to serve as a juror or who is required by writ or subpoena to appear in court as a witness will be paid their regular pay for the time they are required to be in court provided the employee presents to the Employer the process which required their presence in court and pays over to the Employer any amount received by them as such juror or witness. Court leave does not apply to the employee(s) personal civil or criminal proceedings.

Jury Leave and Court Leave. The Employer shall grant leaves of absence without loss of seniority benefits to an Employee who serves as juror or witness in any court or who is required by subpoena to attend a court of law or coroner’s inquest. For all indeterminate Employees, the Employer shall pay the difference between normal earnings and the payment received for jury service or court witness, excluding payment for traveling, meals, or other expenses. The Employee will present proof of service and the amount received. Time spent by an Employee required to appear before any government body, or who is subpoenaed to attend a coroner’s inquest or is required to serve as a court witness in any matter arising out of their employment shall be considered as time worked at the appropriate rate of pay.

  • Personal Leave With Pay With prior notification, full-time employees who are eligible to accrue sick leave may use a maximum of six (6) days personal leave with pay per year, provided that such days shall be charged against the employee’s current accrued sick leave.
