IMRF Eligibility Sample Clauses

The IMRF Eligibility clause defines the criteria under which an individual qualifies for participation in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF). Typically, this clause outlines specific employment requirements such as minimum hours worked per week, job classification, or length of service necessary to become eligible for IMRF benefits. For example, it may specify that only full-time employees or those working a certain number of hours are covered. The core function of this clause is to clearly establish who is entitled to retirement benefits under the IMRF, thereby ensuring both employers and employees understand eligibility requirements and reducing potential disputes.
IMRF Eligibility. Once an employee has reached IMRF eligibility the parties recognize it is the intent of the District to continue to provide enough hours of employment for the employee to maintain IMRF eligibility. This is not a guarantee of hours, but the District shall make a good faith effort to meet that intent.
IMRF Eligibility. Any employee who is employed for six-hundred (600) hours or more in a year shall be eligible in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund and the Board of Education shall make its employer’s contribution; as well as deduct and forward the employee’s contribution to IMRF.
IMRF Eligibility. For the purpose of determining IMRF eligibility, within the first week of school, the employer shall post two (2) lists in the bus garage -- "Available for extra duty runs" and "Not Available for extra duty runs." Those employees who sign the "Not Available..." list and who work less than 600 hours per year shall not qualify for IMRF. Drivers who work more than 600 hours or who sign the "Available..." list may qualify for IMRF.
