HOURS OF WORK, WAGES AND HOLIDAY PAY. 3.0 Hourly wages will be in accordance with Appendix A. For the 2021-22 contract year, the number of paid holidays (and the specific holidays) for each employee shall remain at the same number of paid holidays as currently in effect for that employee, except that any employee not eligible for any paid holidays during 2021- 22 shall be eligible for one (1) paid holiday (Memorial Day) for the period between ratification/approval of the contract and June 30, 2022 (in addition to Juneteenth if the employee is eligible for a paid holiday for Juneteenth in accordance with this section). Effective July 1, 2022, any employee with fewer than ten (10) paid holidays per year will receive two (2) additional paid holidays (Labor Day and Indigenous Peoples Day), subject to a maximum of ten (10) total paid holidays per year. Effective July 1, 2023, any employee with fewer than ten (10) paid holidays per year will receive three (3) additional paid holidays (Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day), subject to a maximum of ten (10) total paid holidays per year. Effective July 1, 2024, any employee with fewer than ten (10) paid holidays per year will receive two (2) additional paid holidays (New Year’s Day and Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Day), subject to a maximum of ten (10) total paid holidays per year. Effective July 1, 2025, any employee with fewer than ten (10) paid holidays per year will receive two (2) additional paid holidays (Presidents Day and Good Friday), subject to a maximum of ten (10) total paid holidays per year. Juneteenth: In addition to the ten (10) paid holidays set forth above, if an employee is normally scheduled to work on the date designated by the Board for observation of Juneteenth, then Juneteenth will be a paid holiday for the employee, provided that Juneteenth will not be a paid holiday for any employee whose work year has ended prior to the date designated by the Board for observation of Juneteenth.

HOURS OF WORK, WAGES AND HOLIDAY PAY. 2.0 Hourly wages will be in accordance with Appendix A. Employees will be credited with ten (10) paid holidays. These are Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Years Day, Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Day, Presidents’ Day, Good Friday, and Memorial Day. An employee must work a complete shift, or may be required to provide a doctor’s certificate verifying an illness, or be on approved leave on the work day immediately preceding and immediately following a holiday to receive pay for that holiday.

  • Days and Hours of Work The standard workweek for workers occupying full-time positions consists of 40 hours unless otherwise specified by the Board of Supervisors. The appointing authority shall fix the hours of work with due regard for the convenience of the public and the laws of the State and the County. Workers occupying part-time positions shall work such hours and schedules as the Board and the appointing authority shall prescribe.

  • Standard Hours of Work 4.2.1 The standard hours of work shall be defined as regularly scheduled twenty-four (24) hours per week or less averaged over each bi-weekly pay period.

  • 00 - HOURS OF WORK 14.01 The Employer does not guarantee to provide work to any employee for regularly assigned hours or any other hours, except as provided for in Article 18.00. Eight (8) hours shall constitute a normal day of work. The normal hours of work shall be between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. for an eight (8) hour day, with one-half or one hour for lunch at the midpoint of the shift.   • Workweek A regularly re-occurring period of one hundred and sixty-eight (168) hours consisting of seven (7) consecutive twenty-four (24) hour periods. Workweeks will normally begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 12:00 midnight the following Saturday or as otherwise designated by the appointing authority. If there is a change in their workweek, employees will be given written notification by the appointing authority or their designee.

  • Regular Hours of Work (a) Regular hours of work for Full-time Employees, exclusive of meal periods shall be:
