HIGHER DUTIES ALLOWANCE ON LEAVE. An employee who is performing higher duties and is granted paid leave or who observes a public holiday will continue to receive higher duties allowance during that absence. Higher duties allowance will not be paid beyond the date on which the employee would have ceased performing higher duties, had the employee not been absent. Where the leave with pay is less than leave on full pay, payment of the allowance will be made on a pro rata basis.
