Hierarchy of Contract Documents. 1.7.1 In the event of any conflict, discrepancy, or inconsistency among any of the Contract Documents, the following hierarchy shall control: (a) as between figures given on drawings and the scaled measurements, the figures shall govern; (b) as between large scale drawings and small scale drawings, the large scale shall govern; (c) as between drawings and specifications, the requirements of the specifications shall govern; (d) as between the Contract for Construction and Incorporated General Conditions and the specifications, the requirements of the Contract for Construction and Incorporated General Conditions shall govern. As set forth hereinabove, any and all conflicts, discrepancies, or inconsistencies shall be immediately reported to the architect in writing by the contractor.

If after application of the above, the conflict, discrepancy, or inconsistency cannot be resolved, the Contractor shall be obligated to perform in accordance with the most stringent requirement and/or provide the greater scope of Work as such resolution.
Hierarchy of Contract Documents. 8.9.1 In the event of any conflict, discrepancy, or inconsistency among any of the Contract Documents, the following hierarchy shall control: (a) as between figures given on drawings and the scaled measurements, the figures shall govern; (b) as between large-scale drawings and small-scale drawings, the large-scale drawings shall govern; (c) as between drawings and specifications, the requirements of the specifications shall govern; and (d) as between this Agreement and the drawings and specifications, the requirements of this Agreement shall govern. Notwithstanding such hierarchy, the highest and most stringent standard will apply. As set forth hereinabove, any and all conflicts, discrepancies, or inconsistencies shall be immediately reported to Owner in writing by ESP.
