HEALTH &SAFETY RESPONSIBILITY. In accordance with the requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, it shall be the sole responsibility of the Employer to insure the safety and health of its employees. Nothing in the Collective Bargaining Agreement will make the Union liable to any employees or to any other persons in the event that injury or accident occurs. The safety and health standards and rules contained herein are minimum standards and are not intended to imply that the Union objects to the establishment and imposition by the Employer of additional or more stringent rules to protect the health and safety of the employees. It shall be the sole responsibility of the Employer to insure compliance with safety and health standards and rules.

HEALTH &SAFETY RESPONSIBILITY. The Company and the Union shall continue to make reasonable provisions for the health and safety of its employees during the hours of employment. It is agreed that Part 2 of the BC Workers Compensation Act, and the Occupational Health & Safety Regulation is incorporated into and forms part of this agreement. The Employer and the Union agree to abide by those provisions unless this agreement provides otherwise.

  • General Responsibility The Consultant shall, at all times during the Agreement, remain responsible.
