Each Party shall advise its affiliates and its and their employees and third parties, who may purchase or come into contact with crude oil delivered under this Agreement, about the reasonable hazards and risks of crude oil, as well as precautionary procedures for handling such crude oil.

Hazards and Risks. You understand that there is an inherent risk of personal injury and even death associated with your participation in the Volunteer Project. You understand that emergency medical care and evacuation may not be readily available. You recognize that you may encounter certain dangers, including, but not limited to: riding in vehicles over unimproved and uneven roads; walking on pathways that may be wet, slippery, and steep; walking in areas where solid footing may be obscured by vegetation or water; and extreme weather. You recognize that water shoes with good traction are recommended for in-water sampling to minimize the chance of slipping or injury caused by work tools you may be using. You also understand that there are not always bathroom facilities, potable water, or telephones. You acknowledge and understand that a significant portion of the activities described herein will take place in or near open ocean marine and/or coastal area environments and during your participation in said activities and travel to and from activity sites, you may encounter certain dangers, including, but not limited to, rough water conditions and/or other water hazards; drowning; injuries inflicted by marine and/or terrestrial animals, insects or plants; natural and/or man-made objects in the ocean, including, but not limited to, corals, rocks, on-shore plant or other debris; risk of slips or falls; extreme climate or weather conditions or other forces of nature including, but not limited to, ocean currents, and temperature changes. If you are entering the ocean to conduct work, you affirm that you are able to swim in open ocean water conditions. You acknowledge that the Xxx has made no promises to you about the conditions that you may encounter during your participation in the activities described herein on this and other subsequent trips, and cannot guarantee or be responsible for your safety. You agree that you are in good health and are not aware of any physical or medical conditions that might endanger yourself or other participants. You will take appropriate steps to ensure your personal health during participation in the activities described herein, including obtaining adequate rest, food, water, and carrying any prescribed medication that you may be taking. You acknowledge that the Hui makes no warranty or representation, expressed or implied, regarding the conditions that may be encountered during your participation in the Volunteer Project.

Hamas, a U.S. government-designated foreign terrorist organization, controls the security infrastructure in Gaza. The security environment within Gaza and on its borders is dangerous and volatile. Sporadic mortar or rocket fire and corresponding Israeli military responses may occur at any time. Hazards and Risks. The activities of the Park, including its equipment, structures and premises expose participants to certain risks, including: accidents in transporting Visitors to the Park; falls; abrupt and possibly harmful contact with structures (fixed and moveable), watercraft and persons; anxieties and fears associated with heights; close contact with other participants; carelessness and misjudgments, including negligence, of Visitors and the staff of the Park, including failing to follow proper procedures, instructions and the operating policies of the Park; the failure of structures and equipment; and the unpredictable forces of nature. The terrain of the Park may be uneven and unstable, particularly near the water. Poisonous plants and dangerous animals, including snakes and marine-life, may be encountered. Participants in the aquatic challenge course may become entangled in ropes and cables and entrapped beneath the elements of the course. Injuries and other losses arising from these and other risks include breaks, sprains, strains, bruises and other contusions and in extreme cases emotional upset, anxiety and even death. Water activities, including wading, swimming, boating and the aquatic challenge course include the risks of prolonged water immersion and drowning. Watercraft may collide and capsize, throwing passengers into the water. The Park is remote, and medical evacuation and care may be significantly delayed. The staff has no training for medical emergencies other than basic first aid and CPR. The risks described above, and others, are inherent in a visit to The Park and participating in activities at the Park – that is, they cannot be removed without altering the nature of the experience. The description of risks above is not complete and other unknown or unanticipated risks may result in property loss, injury or death.
Hazards and Risks. I understand that WRV Volunteer Activities involve various land restoration, and associated, activities in sometimes remote outdoor settings, and that there are many potential risks involved in these Volunteer Activities. I understand that there is an inherent risk of personal injury and even death associated with my participation in WRV Volunteer Activities. I recognize that each Volunteer Activity involves a unique set of potential hazards to which I may be exposed, including, but not limited to: riding in vehicles over unimproved and uneven roads; exposure to remote outdoor environments; extreme weather/climate conditions; sites that may be wet, slippery, steep and/or uneven; tasks requiring significant physical exertion; malfunctioning or misused tools and equipment; encounters with insects and wildlife; working closely with other volunteers; lack of access to medical facilities or personnel; use of outdoor cooking and camping equipment; mental, physical and emotional health and participation risks; other natural and man-made hazards, and more. SUPERVISION. I understand that I will be asked to perform the activities and duties assigned to me under the supervision of a designated WRV employee, volunteer leader or Partner. I agree to pay close attention to all the directions given to me. I understand that if I present a safety concern or medical risk, am disruptive, or otherwise conduct myself in a detrimental manner, that I may be dismissed from volunteer service at any time. If I am dismissed or depart from a Volunteer Activity for any reason, I agree to be responsible for all costs of early departure, including medical evacuation, or treatment. (initial)

  • Hazards The Tenant shall not undertake, or permit his/her family or guests to undertake, any hazardous acts or do anything that will increase the project's insurance premiums. Such action constitutes a material non-compliance. If the unit is damaged by fire, wind, or rain to the extent that the unit cannot be lived in and the damage is not caused or made worse by the Tenant, the Tenant will be responsible for rent only up to the date of the destruction. Additional rent will not accrue until the unit has been repaired to a livable condition.

  • Facilities and Equipment Except as set forth herein, Consultant shall, at its sole cost and expense, provide all facilities and equipment that may be necessary to perform the services required by this Agreement. City shall make available to Consultant only the facilities and equipment listed in this section, and only under the terms and conditions set forth herein. City shall furnish physical facilities such as desks, filing cabinets, and conference space, as may be reasonably necessary for Consultant’s use while consulting with City employees and reviewing records and the information in possession of the City. The location, quantity, and time of furnishing those facilities shall be in the sole discretion of City. In no event shall City be obligated to furnish any facility that may involve incurring any direct expense, including but not limited to computer, cellular telephone, long-distance telephone, or other communication charges, vehicles, and reproduction facilities. If the performance of the work specified in Exhibit A requires destructive testing or other work within the City’s public right-of-way, Consultant, or Consultant’s subconsultant, shall obtain an encroachment permit from the City.

  • Dangerous Materials Tenant shall not keep or have on the Premises any article or thing of a dangerous, flammable, or explosive character that might substantially increase the danger of fire on the Premises, or that might be considered hazardous by a responsible insurance company, unless the prior written consent of Landlord is obtained and proof of adequate insurance protection is provided by Tenant to Landlord.

  • Waste and Nuisance Not to commit or permit any waste, damage or injury to the Leased Premises including the Leasehold Improvements and trade fixtures therein, reasonable wear and tear excluded, any overloading of the floors thereof, any nuisance therein or any use or manner of use causing unreasonable annoyance to other tenants and occupants of the Building.

  • Hazardous Conditions The Contractor and Owner acknowledge that previously unknown hazardous conditions may be uncovered at any job site, and in particular where existing structures are being demolished and/or remodeled to accommodate new construction or to reutilize existing facilities. Should a hazardous condition not involving Hazardous Materials as set forth above be encountered on the Site, and should reasonable safety precautions be deemed by the Contractor in good faith to be inadequate to prevent foreseeable personal injury to persons encountering the hazardous condition, the Contractor shall, upon recognizing the hazardous condition, stop work in the affected area and immediately report the hazardous condition to the Design Professional and Owner in writing. The Owner shall undertake, or shall contract (by Change Order) with the Contractor or contract with a Separate Contractor, to resolve the condition. So long as the hazardous condition did not result from activities or substances brought on the Site by the Contractor, the Contractor is entitled to adjustments in the Contract Time and the Contract Sum as set forth in Paragraph 1.6.1.2 above.

  • Hazardous Substances The words "Hazardous Substances" mean materials that, because of their quantity, concentration or physical, chemical or infectious characteristics, may cause or pose a present or potential hazard to human health or the environment when improperly used, treated, stored, disposed of, generated, manufactured, transported or otherwise handled. The words "Hazardous Substances" are used in their very broadest sense and include without limitation any and all hazardous or toxic substances, materials or waste as defined by or listed under the Environmental Laws. The term "Hazardous Substances" also includes, without limitation, petroleum and petroleum by-products or any fraction thereof and asbestos.

  • Use of Facilities and Equipment The Union shall have the right to use school facilities for meetings and school equipment, including, but not limited to, typewriters, computers, printers, duplicating equipment, FAX machines, calculating machines, and all types of audio-visual equipment when such equipment is not otherwise in use. The Union shall pay for the cost of all materials and supplies incident to such use and shall be responsible for proper operation of all such equipment.

  • Environmental Hazards (a) Except for matters described in Section 18(b), Borrower shall not cause or permit any of the following:

  • Dangerous Goods You warrant that the Goods do not include any firearms or goods which are or may become of a dangerous, corrosive, highly combustible, explosive, damaging or noxious nature nor likely to encourage any vermin or pest unless You have disclosed to Us in writing the presence and nature of any such items prior to them being made available to Us for loading or storage. We may refuse to remove or store such items. If We discover any article or substance of this nature after the Goods have been received by Us, We may take any reasonable action, including destruction or disposal, as We may think fit without incurring any liability to You.
