General Scope of supply. The scope of supply includes design, manufacturing, testing, packaging, transportation, and installation of materials, equipment and accessories necessary for the proper functioning of series capacitor banks. The following is a non-exhaustive list of equipment, accessories and services that make up the supply. - Single phase capacitor units in quantity and connection appropriate to meet the characteristics of reactance and capacity of each bank, including metal structure to support the units. - Non-linear resistance (metal oxide varistor–MOV). - Damper circuit and discharge current limiter (damping and limiting circuit). - By-pass switches(by–pass circuit breaker). - Measuring transformers (current and potential). - Signaling, protection, control and measurement equipment. - Busbars and interconnection cables of the capacitor bank and associated equipment. - Platform and support columns. - Power supply for electronics on the platform (the use of batteries is not allowed). - Accessories for support, connection and attachment: insulators, terminals, connectors, brackets, mounting brackets and set of screws and fasteners. - Protection wiring, signaling, control and strength (including fiber optic needed for communication between the platform and ground level). - Spare parts and special tools. - Testing and commissioning. - Technical support (training and troubleshooting during the guarantee period). - Technical information. - Any other equipment necessary for the successful operation of capacitor banks.

General Scope of supply. The supply should include all CS components, its parts and accessories, including any equipment or accessories not listed in this specification, but required for satisfactory operation thereof. Two (2) CS will be provided one for operations and one for backup and will be designed to operate at no less than 25 MVAR capacitor and not less than 25 MVAR inductive to a tertiary voltage of the main transformer (MT), which will be defined by the Concessionaire. The basic components of the system will include the synchronous motor, the power factor controller, voltage regulator, the control panel and remote annunciator panel (optional), plus connection equipment to the busbar. The CS design will be for indoor installation and shall comply with the environmental conditions described in Section 3.2, subsection b). The complete system will be pre-assembled and fully tested prior to shipment. Controls will consist of a power factor controller, voltage regulator, meters and protection system required for normal operation. In a NEMA 1 enclosure, the following controls will be installed: - Engine Control - Engine Starter - Power factor range adjustment - Power outage protector - Reverse power protection The following protective devices shall be provided: - Low input voltage(Input/Under voltage) - Main motor under voltage - Low Frequency - Loss of field - Bearing over temperature - Winding over temperature - Starter Overload The measurement system for monitoring shall include at least the following functions: - Compensator MVAR output reactive power - Power factor of the corrected source - CS current - CS voltage - Percentage of load (% of full load) Equipment must be equipped with external visual and audible alarm indicators.

It is permitted for the TIPS Member to provide a general scope description, but the awarded vendor should provide a written scope of work, and if applicable, according to the TIPS Member’s design Professional as part of the proposal. Once the scope of the job is agreed to, the TIPS Member will issue a PO and/or an Agreement or Contract with the Job Order Contract Proposal referenced or as an attachment along with bond and any other special provisions agreed by the TIPS Member. If special terms and conditions other than those covered within this solicitation and awarded Agreements are required, they will be attached to the PO and/or an Agreement or Contract and shall take precedence over those in this base TIPS Vendor Agreement.
