FILLING ASSIGNMENTS. Secondary employment is voluntary and done on an officer’s time off from the department. Therefore, it can never be guaranteed that an off-duty assignment will be filled. The employer may request that a particular officer or officer(s) staff a job; however, whether this officer or officer(s) actually are employed at this job is at the discretion of the Concord Police Department. When an employer asks to hire a Concord Police Department officer, it is understood that ANY eligible officer may in fact work the job. Under extraordinary circumstances, off-duty officers may be activated to an on-duty status and pulled away from their off-duty assignments. The priority of Concord Police Department officers is their full time assignment within the Police Department and any obligations, such as call-back or court, which come with their Concord Police Department assignment.

FILLING ASSIGNMENTS. The Department retains the right to establish and modify in its sole discretion the selection process and the criteria used to select personnel to fill Non-Bid Assignments and voluntary details. However, the Department will give consideration to the expressed interests of affected employees.
FILLING ASSIGNMENTS. Assignments shall be granted on the basis of minimum qualifications and abilities as stated in the job description. Seniority will be a deciding factor in the event of a tie for an upgraded position. Assignments can be refused by an employee. If no employee takes an available assignment, then the lowest seniority person will be chosen.

  • Shift Assignments When an opening occurs in a shift assignment in an appropriate work group at a location, preference shall be given to employees within the classification who possess the training, ability and any required special qualifications to perform the work required, on the basis of seniority. In the event that no employee desires a shift assignment, employees shall be selected in order of inverse seniority. This provision shall not apply to necessary training assignments. This provision shall not in itself alter the practice of rotating shifts where such practice presently exists. No employee who has a regular shift assignment on the effective date of the Agreement shall be involuntarily displaced from such shift assignment as a result of this Article.

  • Teaching Assignments No employee shall be assigned to teach in a grade level and/or subject area not within the scope of his/her teaching certificate, except where a position within his/her certification is unavailable or when mutually agreed to by the affected employee and principal, or when determined necessary by the principal. Employees assigned to positions outside the scope of their certificates shall be assigned as soon as possible to positions for which they hold certification.

  • Housing Assignments The University assigns Licensee to a bed space and does not guarantee specific room types, room spaces, apartments, or roommates. The University shall have the right to reassign the Licensee to a different bed space without the Licensee's consent prior to or during the term of the agreement.

  • Work Assignments Section 1. The Company shall determine whether to staff a position or fill a vacancy and the method or combination of methods it shall use for such purposes. In making this determination, the Company shall first give consideration to qualified laid off employees with applications on file in accordance with Article 14 Section 7 of this Agreement and then internal candidates prior to off-street applicants. All vacancies within the Bargaining Unit shall be posted (manually or electronically) in locations where Bargaining Unit employees regularly work. The posting shall include the title, wage range, and sufficient information regarding requirements and duties to adequately describe the vacancy. The vacancy shall remain posted for seven (7) calendar days which shall be spread between two (2) workweeks.

  • Teaching Assignment For teaching faculty, the teaching assignment will be one or a combination of programs, courses, or student originated studies offerings (all of which are collectively referred to as “academic offerings” below). For full-time faculty the normal teaching assignment will be a program. For part-time faculty the normal assignment is either a program and/or course(s), depending on the terms of their contract. In addition, faculty may support individual learning contracts.

  • Room Assignments A. The University draws students from many states, nations, races and religions. It will be the responsibility of each resident to respect the rights of all residents in university residence halls. Admission to Texas A&M University – Texarkana and any of its sponsored programs is open to qualified individuals regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, or disability. Room and roommate assignments are made without regard to race, color, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.

  • Overtime Assignments When needed, overtime work for full-time employees shall be scheduled among qualified employees doing similar work in the work location where the employees regularly work in accordance with the following:

  • SUBSEQUENT ASSIGNMENTS After the Effective Date, the Assignee shall have the right pursuant to Section 12.3.1 of the Credit Agreement to assign the rights which are assigned to the Assignee hereunder to any entity or person, provided that (i) any such subsequent assignment does not violate any of the terms and conditions of the Loan Documents or any law, rule, regulation, order, writ, judgment, injunction or decree and that any consent required under the terms of the Loan Documents has been obtained and (ii) unless the prior written consent of the Assignor is obtained, the Assignee is not thereby released from its obligations to the Assignor hereunder, if any remain unsatisfied, including, without limitation, its obligations under Sections 4, 5 and 8 hereof.

  • Relief Assignments 12.1 All possible regular relief assignments with five days work per week and two consecutive rest days (subject to Clause 11.1) shall be established to perform necessary relief work or to perform relief work on certain days and such types of other work on other days as may be assigned under this agreement.

  • Shift Assignment Should the University elect to establish a shift on any other schedule than the regular day shift (Monday through Friday) or to assign employees to work on any such shift, the employee(s) with the most seniority in the classification affected or to be assigned on such shift shall have preference in moving to such shift. If an insufficient number of employees in the classification elect to move to such shift, then the employee(s) with the least seniority in the classification shall be assigned to such shift. If positions or shifts are reduced or eliminated or movement of personnel to other shifts is required, then the seniority of the affected employee will prevail in the selection of shift, provided the affected employee can do the required work. Such shift preference is only applicable within the employee's classification.
