The Department Assignment clause designates which department within an organization is responsible for specific tasks, obligations, or oversight under the agreement. Department Assignment. At the beginning of the academic year, the College President or designee shall assign each faculty member to a division, or the library or student services; and to a department as listed in Appendix H, as appropriate.
