Faith Observance. 14.3 Each year, an employee may elect to transfer general holidays that are based on the Christian Faith (Good Friday and Christmas Day), to days that are observed as holy days generally recognized by followers of their sincerely held religious beliefs. The employee may be required to provide confirmation of their affiliation by a confirmed religious leader. All requests to transfer a general holiday(s), for the upcoming year must be made by May 1 of each year. If an employee is hired after May 1, the employee shall not be entitled to transfer general holidays in accordance with this Article until the following year. The Employer shall notify all affected employees by June 1. Requests will not be unreasonably denied and will be subject to the needs of the business as determined by the Employer.

Faith Observance. Employees will have the option to request unpaid time off to observe holy days generally recognized by followers of their sincerely-held religious beliefs. The Employer may request and the Employee must demonstrate that the religious belief is sincerely and deeply held by the Employee and that the holy day is recognized by a particular and comprehensive, overarching system of belief that governs one’s conduct and practices. The Employee may be required to provide confirmation of the holy day(s) and their membership to the faith by a cleric or religious official. All requests for time off for the upcoming calendar year shall be made by January 31st each year. The Employer shall have the final discretion to grant or deny the unpaid time off depending on the individual circumstances of the Employee and the operational impact of the leave.

  • Observance (a) When a holiday specified in Article 58, Section 1 falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be recognized as the holiday. When a holiday specified in Article 58, Section 1 falls on a Sunday, the following Monday shall be recognized as the holiday.

  • Observance of Legal Requirements Observe and comply in all material respects, and cause each Subsidiary so to do, with all laws, ordinances, orders, judgments, rules, regulations, certifications, franchises, permits, licenses, directions and requirements of all Governmental Authorities, which now or at any time hereafter may be applicable to it or to such Subsidiary, a violation of which could reasonably be expected to have a Material Adverse effect.

  • Observance of Law Tenant shall not use the Premises or permit anything to be done in or about the Premises which will in any way conflict with any law, statute, ordinance or governmental rule or regulation now in force or which may hereafter be enacted or promulgated.   • Good Faith Performance Each Party shall act in good faith in its performance under this Agreement and, in each case in which a Party’s consent or agreement is required or requested hereunder, such Party shall not unreasonably withhold or delay such consent or agreement.

  • Accommodations of Spiritual or Cultural Observances Where an employee observes a cultural/spiritual day other than those listed above, the employee shall submit their request in January of each year for the twelve (12) month period following March 1st, identifying the required date they need off.
