Observance Sample Clauses

Observance. (a) When a holiday specified in Article 58, Section 1 falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be recognized as the holiday. When a holiday specified in Article 58, Section 1 falls on a Sunday, the following Monday shall be recognized as the holiday.
Observance. Employees shall enjoy the same number of holidays, regardless of variations in work weeks. Holidays which fall on Sunday are observed on the following Monday. Holidays which fall on Saturdays shall be observed on the preceding Friday. Holidays which fall during a vacation period or when a worker is absent because of illness shall not be charged against the employee’s vacation or sick leave balance. When the observed holidays fall on an employee’s scheduled day off, the day shall be added to the employee’s STO balance.
Observance. The following holidays will be observed: New Year’s Day Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s Birthday President’s Day Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Columbus Day Veteran’s Day Thanksgiving Day Day After Thanksgiving (except DOT) Christmas Each Statewide Election Day Any other day proclaimed as a holiday or non-working day by the Governor of the State of Maryland or the President of the United States of America. Except for employees required to work on a holiday, when a holiday falls on a Sunday, the holiday is observed on the following Monday. When a holiday falls on a Saturday, the holiday is observed on the preceding Friday. A holiday will commence at 12:01 A.M. and end at 12:00 Midnight. Upon request, an employee may observe a religious holiday provided that the time off is charged to vacation, compensatory time, personal leave, or leave without pay, at the employee’s choice.
Observance. For personnel who work Monday - Friday and normally take all holidays off, each time a holiday specified in Section 1 of this Article falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be recognized as the holiday and each time the holiday specified in Section 1 of this Article falls on a Sunday, the following Monday shall be recognized as the holiday. For personnel who work on Saturday or Sunday and normally take all holidays off, the holiday specified in Section 1 of this Article will be on the day it falls. For other personnel who do not normally take all holidays off, the holiday specified in Section 1 of this Article will be on the day it falls. A holiday shall be defined as starting at 00:01 on the holiday and ending at twelve midnight (24:00) on the holiday as specified in Section 1 of this Article.
Observance. The liability of the Company shall be conditional on the observance by the Insured of the Terms of each Section of this Policy.
Observance. The Tenant shall, at all times, comply with, and shall cause its employees, agents, licensees and invitees to comply with, such rules and regulations attached hereto as Schedule D hereto and such further and other reasonable rules and regulations and amendments and changes thereto as may be made by the Landlord and notified to the Tenant by mailing a copy thereof to the Tenant or by posting same in a conspicuous place in the Building. All such rules and regulations now or hereafter in force shall be read as forming part of this Lease.
