Eligible part-time employee definition

Eligible part-time employee means an employee who meets all the criteria in subsection (10) of this section, but who is regularly scheduled to work fewer than thirty hours per week for an employer.
Eligible part-time employee means an employee who meets all the criteria in definition "eligible full-time employee" of this section, but who is regularly scheduled to work fewer than thirty hours per week for an employer.
Eligible part-time employee means a person employed by, paid by, and working for a participating entity less than 20 hours but more than 15 hours per week during the academic school term and is determined to be eligible for participation in authority employee benefits coverages by an annual resolution which, prior to May 1 of the previous year, is adopted by the participating entity governing body and approved by the authority board.

Examples of Eligible part-time employee in a sentence

  • Eligible part-time employee newly appointed shall be credited with vacation on a prorated basis proportionate to the authorized hours of their positions upon completion of the required hours of service under subsection A 2 of this section.

  • Eligible part-time employee in the Competitive Service shall be entitled to vacation leave at a pro-rated rate of leave depending on hours worked for each full calendar month of service with the Town.

  • Eligible part-time employee in the Competitive Service shall be entitled to sick leave at a pro-rated rate of leave depending on hours worked for each full calendar month of service with the Town.


More Definitions of Eligible part-time employee

Eligible part-time employee. An employee who has satisfactorily completed no less than one hundred eighty (180) calendar days of employment in a position which calls for the employee to work less than forty (40) hours per week. These employees are covered under this Agreement.
Eligible part-time employee means any employee, excluding Courtesy Clerks, whose schedule is variable or who has been employed over an entire Look Back Period used to measure new or ongoing employees and who has averaged at least twelve (12) hours of work per week, but fewer than thirty (30) hours of work per week during the applicable Look Back Period.
Eligible part-time employee means an Employee whose regular work schedule (excluding vacation and sick days to which such employee is entitled under then-applicable Company policy and excluding overtime and any other non-regularly scheduled work) is at least 20 hours per week but less than 40 hours per week.

  • Part-time employee means an employee who is normally required to work less than the basic hours of work.

  • Permanent part-time employee means a person who is appointed to work hours that are less in number than a full-time employee and who is appointed as such in accordance with section 37(3)(a) of the State Service Act 2000.

  • Regular Part-Time Employee means an employee who is appointed to a regularly scheduled position but works less than full-time. A regular part-time employee is entitled to all benefits outlined in the agreement on a pro rata basis, except where otherwise specified.

  • Qualifying Employee means any employee of Managing Agent or Parent or any of their respective subsidiaries who is and has been an employee of Managing Agent or Parent or any of their respective subsidiaries for at least thirty-six (36) months.

  • Part-time employment means any employment or combination of one or more employments in a civil division in which an individual works fifty percent (50%) or less of the time prescribed as the standard work week by the governing body or other appropriate authority of the civil division or where the employee earns not more than one-half (1/2) of the rate assigned to the position if the position has been allocated to a graded salary schedule.

  • Active Employee means a contributing member of the TRS who is employed by a public school and is not entitled to coverage under a plan provided under Insurance Code Chapter 1551 (Texas Em- ployees Group Benefits Act) or 1601 (State University Employees Uniform Insurance Benefits Act).

  • Tipped employee means any employee engaged in an occupation in which s/he customarily and regularly receives more than $30 per month in tips. Tips include amounts designated as a tip by credit card customers on their charge slips. Nothing in this rule prevents an employer from requiring employees to share or allocate such tips or gratuities on a pre-established basis among other employees who customarily and regularly receive tips. Employer-required sharing of tips with employees who do not customarily and regularly receive tips, such as management or food preparers, or deduction of credit card processing fees from tipped employees, shall nullify allowable tip credits towards the minimum wage.

  • Designated Employee means an employee who has been designated by the school to receive complaints of hazing, harassment and bullying pursuant to subdivision 16 V.S.A. 570a(a)(7). The designated employees for each school building are identified in Appendix A of this policy.

  • Eligible Participant means an employee, officer, consultant or director of the Company or any Affiliate.

  • Newly hired employee or “New Hire” means any employee, whether permanent, full-time, or part-time, hired by the Office and who is still employed as of the date of new employee orientation. It also includes all employees who are or have been previously employed by the Office and whose current position has placed them in the bargaining unit represented by CSEA. For those latter employees, for purposes of this article only, the “date of hire” is the date upon which the employees’ employment status changed as such that the employee was placed in the CSEA unit.

  • Service employee, means any person engaged in the performance of this contract other than any person employed in a bona fide executive, administrative, or professional capacity, as these terms are defined in Part 541 of Title 29, Code of Federal Regulations, as revised. It includes all such persons regardless of any contractual relationship that may be alleged to exist between a Contractor or subcontractor and such persons.

  • Retained Employee does not include any individual who has a direct or an indirect ownership interest of at least five percent (5%) in the profits, equity, capital, or value of the Taxpayer, or a child, grandchild, parent, or spouse, other than a spouse who is legally separated from the individual, of any individual who has direct or indirect ownership interest of at least five percent (5%) of the profits, equity, capital or value of the Company.

  • Former Employee means an individual who has severed employment with the Employer or an Affiliated Employer.

  • Eligible Employee means full-time and part-time employees in the bargaining unit who have completed four hundred and fifty (450) hours of service and who are not prohibited from contributing to the Plan by legislation or the Plan rules because of their age or because they are in receipt of a pension from the Plan.

  • Inactive Employee means an employee who is not actively at work due to approved leave of absence, short-term disability leave or military leave.

  • Non-Key Employee means any Employee who is not a Key Employee.

  • Hired Employee has the meaning set forth in Section 6.1.6.

  • Participating employee means an employee whose election to participate in a Plan has been approved by the employer.

  • School employee means (1) a teacher, substitute teacher, school administrator, school superintendent, guidance counselor, psychologist, social worker, nurse, physician, school paraprofessional or coach employed by a local or regional board of education or working in a public elementary, middle or high school; or (2) any other individual who, in the performance of his or her duties, has regular contact with students and who provides services to or on behalf of students enrolled in a public elementary, middle or high school, pursuant to a contract with the local or regional board of education.

  • Transferred Employee has the meaning set forth in Section 6.01(a).

  • Ongoing employee means an employee who has been employed for at least one complete standard measurement period.

  • Key Employee means any executive-level employee (including, division director and vice president-level positions) as well as any employee who, either alone or in concert with others, develops, invents, programs, or designs any Company Intellectual Property (as defined in the Purchase Agreement).

  • Contract employee means a probationary faculty employee or a grant- funded employee hired on a year-to-year basis in accordance with Education Code 87470.

  • Permanent full-time employee means a person who is appointed to work the full ordinary hours of work each week (as defined) and who is appointed as such in accordance with section 37(3)(a) of the State Service Act 2000.

  • Executive Employee means those employees of the Company of Grade Level 10 or above.
