Therefore the Parties hereby agree that a Contract Faculty member who is teaching in a northern Manitoba community in which they do not reside, pursuant to the Inter-Universities Services (IUS) agreement, shall be paid a Distance Allowance as set out in the 2006 schedule prepared by Inter-Universities Services, a copy of which is attached to this Letter of Understanding. Duration and Continuance. OF THE AGREEMENT This Collective Agreement shall be for three years from to March Notice to bargain for a renewal of this collective agreement with or without modifications or for the making of a new collective agreement shall be given in accordance with the provisions of the Manitoba Labour Relations Act. During negotiations, all articles which have not (at the time of declaring as provided in clause 2) been declared open for negotiation by either party shall continue in force during negotiations unless there is a strike or lockout.
