Disability Leave Entitlement. Employees are covered by Workers' Compensation benefits pursuant to the statutes of the State of California. Over and above the Workers' Compensation statutory benefits, the City will pay benefits on the first day of work lost due to an on-the-job injury, and will provide Worker Compensation benefits for the first year up to two-thirds of the monthly salary not to exceed Two Thousand Dollars per month for on-the- job injuries. After the first year (defined as calendar year), benefits will be paid pursuant to the statutes of the State of California.

  • Disability Leave a. An employee who has suffered possible injury in the performance of assigned duties shall immediately undergo such medical examination as the appointing authority deems necessary. He/she shall not be considered absent from duty during the time required for such examination.

The employee may claim sick leave pay and/or extended disability pay for no more than that limited period of time when the employee’s physician certified in writing on the form provided by the District that she was actually physically disabled from performing her duties because of pregnancy, miscarriage, childbirth, or recovery there from.

  • Leave Entitlement An eligible employee is entitled to take up to a total of twelve (12) 41 work weeks of FMLA leave in a 12-month period, to be measured backwards from the 42 commencement date the employee uses FMLA leave. An eligible employee taking leave 43 under Article 12.02(10)(b) shall be permitted to take up to 26 work weeks of leave in a 44 12-month period.

  • Extended Disability Leave a. Due to a medical disability, an employee shall be granted an extended leave of absence without pay (subject to Paragraph d hereof) if any one of the following conditions exists:

  • Sick Leave Entitlement A full-time employee shall earn sick leave credits at the rate of one and one-quarter (1¼) days for each month of service in which pay was received for at least ten (10) days. Sick leave shall accumulate to a maximum of two hundred and fifty (250) days. A part-time employee shall be entitled to sick leave credits on a pro rata basis. Where an employee is absent from work because of illness or injury the employee shall be entitled to claim sick leave at her regular rate of pay for a maximum period equivalent to her accumulated sick leave credit.

  • Maximum Leave Entitlement Leaves taken under Clauses 20.2, 20.3 and 20.11 shall not exceed a total of 70 hours per calendar year, unless additional special leave is approved by the Employer.

  • Pregnancy Disability Leave A. Leave for pregnancy or childbirth related disability is in addition to any leave granted under FMLA or WFLA.

  • Industrial Disability Leave A. For periods of disability commencing on or after January 1, 1993, subject to Government Code Section 19875, eligible employees shall receive IDL payments equivalent to full net pay for the first 22 work days after the date of the reported injury.
