Detention Charges. 20.1 Detention charges shall be paid extra if the vehicles are not loaded on the day of placement and also not unloaded at destination within one day. The vehicle should report for loading from 08:30 AM to 01:30 PM. If the vehicles report after 01:30 PM the date of report shall be taken as the next working day for the purpose of payment of detention charges.However, Sundays and Public Holidays will not be considered for detention charges. In case the vehicle is detained beyond the day of placement the detention charges of Rs. 350/- per day shall be payable to the transporter.
20.2 Detention charges shall be paid on certification of Head of CDX / Stores (in case of detention at BHEL, Haridwar) and endorsement of Customer/Site Officials or confirmation by Contract Engineers (in case of detention at customers’ sites) recording the reasons there of. For claiming detention at site the transport carrier should submit any one of the following supporting document:-
a) Acknowledgement from Customer / Site In charge regarding date and time of reporting including vehicle no.
b) Fax message sent to BHEL / Transport carrier regarding date and time of reporting including vehicle No.
c) Copy of bill from the nearest public telephone indicating date and time of call. The call should be made to CDX/Stores in BHEL, Haridwar.
d) E-Mail from transport carrier regarding date and time of reporting with vehicle No. The same will be accepted only on confirmation from customer.
20.3 No detention charges will be paid for the vehicles detained in the company due to late arrival of the vehicles i.e. after 1.30 PM.
Detention Charges. 22.1 The agency designated for this purpose by MOICS will pay Detention/Locomotive Hire charges in respect of locomotives of Indian Railways to the agency designated for this purpose by MOR for the duration of time spent at ICD Birgunj after the lapse of the notified free time at scales of charge notified by MOR from time to time.
22.2 The agency designated for this purpose by MOICS will also pay Detention/Wagon Hire Charges in respect of wagon/flats of Indian Railways and Container Corporation of India to the agency designated for this purpose by MOR for the duration of time spent at ICD Birgunj after the lapse of the notified free time at scales of charge notified by MOR from time to time.
22.3 If Birgunj in Nepal is unable to accept a train offered to it by the Indian Railways, such trains will be stabled at Raxaul Station on Indian Railways. The agency designated for this purpose by MOICS will pay detention charges for such trains for the duration of time for which such trains are detained for acceptance by the terminal in Birgunj at scales of charge notified by MOR from time to time.
Detention Charges. 2.1 Line haul charges for each shipment include a standard free pickup and/or delivery time. Additional charges may apply if pickup or delivery exceeds the allotted free time, as specified below: • LTL: 1 hour • Truckload: 2 hours
2.2 Detention charges apply when delays extend beyond the allotted free time during loading or unloading. These charges are assessed per vehicle in 15-minute increments after the free time has elapsed, with a minimum charge as follows: Rate: $20.00 per 15-minute increment Minimum Charge: $40.00
Detention Charges unless specifically stated as a term in the Confirmation of a sale transaction, the Detention Charge for the first 15 days will be $50.00 US per day (or part of a day) including Saturday's, Sunday's and Statutory Holidays. Detention Charges. The detention charges shall be payable @ Rs.1500/- for trucks (A1, A2,A3 and D) per vehicle per day and Rs. 2500/- for Trailers (C1, C2 & C3 and group C4) per vehicle per day, detention charges shall be on each occasion subject to detention of vehicle in plant/port/site beyond a period defined as given below:- However in such cases transporter will have to submit proof of entry and exit timings of vehicle in the plant/port/site. Regarding detention of vehicles of transporters carrying export consignments at Octroi/Naka etc. and since the Octroi is exempted for export goods, the necessary formalities/clearance etc. at Octroi/Naka etc. are done by BHEL ROD, Mumbai. Therefore, any detention in clearance is BHEL responsibility. Thus the provision of non-payment of detention charges at Octroi / Naka is not applicable in these cases. Moreover, due to any problem at any Port including non-availability of ship in time, the vehicles if detained by BHEL ROD at port, payment of detention charges at Octroi/Naka/Port and non- recovery of LD for the corresponding period of detention shall be applicable in such cases. For this the date of arrival at Octroi Naka will be accepted as date of arrival at destination. The stamp / endorsement of Octroi / Naka or verification by any BHEL official will be treated as proof for this purpose. Further the vehicle detention charges will be paid as per contract till date of release of vehicle as per acknowledgement by ▇▇▇.
Detention Charges a. If any consignment reaches the stated destination before 15:00 hrs as certified by the Consignee and is not unloaded on the same day, it amounts to detention and the Company is liable to pay a detention charges of Rs 400/- per truck per day for single axle truck type and Rs 700/- per vehicle per day for Double and Multiple axle trucks. For 28ft / 32ft Single axle containers Rs. 700/- per day will be paid as detention.
b. For local movements within city, detention is valid only if the vehicle has reported before 17.00 hrs.
c. The Company is not liable to pay any detention charges at the loading point.
d. All detention charges will be paid basis satisfaction slip. Transporter is responsible for collecting Satisfaction slip from the unloading location.
e. No payment of detention will be made if unaccompanied by Satisfaction slip.
f. If any vehicle reports after 15:00 hrs and next day are a holiday or reports on any holiday the vehicle shall be deemed to have reported on the next working day and hence will not qualify for detention charges during the holiday.

9.2 For example, if the vehicle reached at site for unloading and made IN entry on 01.01.2020, the free period (4 days as per above table) will be available up to 05.01.
Detention Charges. The Buyer shall unload all the goods within twenty four (24) hours and will allow return of vehicle/ container within set period of 24 hours. The Buyer shall be responsible for the cost of any damage to such delivery equipment and shall further be responsible for the costs of any demurrage or detention charges due to delay in unloading for more than 24 hours.
