Deposits and guarantees required. No deposit is required, but where applicable, the successful tenderer (or in the case of a successful consortium bid, each member of the consortium) may be required to provide a guarantee.
Deposits and guarantees required. III.1.2) Main terms of financing and payment and/or reference to the relevant provisions: The EMCDDA is exempt from all taxes and duties, including value added tax (VAT), pursuant to the provisions of Articles 3 and 4 of the protocol on the privileges and immunities of the European Communities. The contractor shall accordingly complete the necessary formalities with the relevant authorities to ensure that the goods and services required for performance of the contract are exempt from taxes and duties, including VAT. Invoices presented by the Contractor shall specify separately his VAT taxation place, the amounts not including VAT and the amounts including VAT.

Detailed monthly invoices are to be issued once the service period for the month has ended. The contractor will be responsible for ensuring that all the formalities required by relevant authorities to ensure that the goods and services supplied in the execution of the contract are exempt from all taxes, levies and duties, including VAT, are carried out. Invoices submitted by the contractor to the EMCDDA must state the address of their local VAT office and show separately the values before VAT and after VAT.
