DEPARTMENT COORDINATORS. There shall be established throughout the district the following department positions based on the following criteria:
DEPARTMENT COORDINATORS. 8.3.1 The Employer has the right to designate from time to time department coordinators to coordinate the work of other employees while in the performance of his/her assigned duties.
DEPARTMENT COORDINATORS. 26.1 Teachers who are appointed by the Superintendent as Department Coordinators during the period September 1, 2020 to August 31, 2022 shall be subject to the following:
DEPARTMENT COORDINATORS. All coordinators must be certified within their specific teaching discipline. The District retains the sole right to appoint and remove Department Coordinators when it deems it appropriate to do so. Vacancies will be posted in accordance with Section 602. Coordinator remuneration will be part of the E.D.R. schedule.
DEPARTMENT COORDINATORS a) The School may appoint Department Coordinators under the supervision of the School’s administration with responsibilities in the areas of professionalism, program development and implementation, organization and management, and supervision of the quality of instruction and student evaluation all in accordance with the terms of reference for this position.
DEPARTMENT COORDINATORS. 4.8.1 Department coordinators will be selected at each school for major departments. Departments designated as major will be: Athletics, AVID, Counseling, ELD, English, Foreign Language, Math,
DEPARTMENT COORDINATORS. Single Department (minimum of 4 teachers, not including department coordinator) Multiple Departments (less than 4 teachers in single department and not to exceed 8 teachers in multiple department) Position Effective 2018-19 Special Education Teachers* $964 Speech Teachers* $1,039 Special Education Coordinator $2,371 * Special education teachers and speech teachers who are employed as such by the Derby Board of Education on July 1, 1989, shall continue to receive annual stipends of $840. Any special education and speech teachers hired after July 1, 1989 shall receive no such stipends.
DEPARTMENT COORDINATORS. A. The high school Department Coordinator (“DC”) must be a certified teacher who will assist the building Principal, Assistant Principals and Pre-K to 12 Curriculum Coordinators in implementing the established district/school/department goals.
DEPARTMENT COORDINATORS. Department coordinators: Each department at the 6-12 grade levels, including but not limited to Science, Math, Foreign Language, Humanities, the Arts, and PE/ Health will elect a department coordinator to lead the department in conversations about vertical alignment, best practices, curricular needs, budgets, and other department wide concerns. Each department coordinator will receive a stipend of $1000.
DEPARTMENT COORDINATORS. Each of the curricular departments has the permission of the Board of Education to elect a leader from among the members of the department and to hold meetings as they see fit. The Board, at this time, will impose no duties nor make a commitment regarding extra pay or reduced teaching load for these department leaders.
