DEPARTMENT COORDINATORS. A. The high school Department Coordinator (“DC”) must be a certified teacher who will assist the building Principal, Assistant Principals and Pre-K to 12 Curriculum Coordinators in implementing the established district/school/department goals.
DEPARTMENT COORDINATORS. Department coordinators: Each department at the 6-12 grade levels, including but not limited to Science, Math, Foreign Language, Humanities, the Arts, and PE/ Health will elect a department coordinator to lead the department in conversations about vertical alignment, best practices, curricular needs, budgets, and other department wide concerns. Each department coordinator will receive a stipend of $1000.
DEPARTMENT COORDINATORS. Each of the curricular departments has the permission of the Board of Education to elect a leader from among the members of the department and to hold meetings as they see fit. The Board, at this time, will impose no duties nor make a commitment regarding extra pay or reduced teaching load for these department leaders.
