Court Duties. The University shall grant leave with pay to an employee summoned for jury duty or required to serve jury duty or summoned as a witness. The employee must forfeit any payment from the Crown for her/his appearance to the University, with the exception of traveling and meal allowances not reimbursed by the University. In cases where the employee must appear as a plaintiff or defendant in a civil or criminal action, the employee will be granted a leave of absence without pay.

Court Duties. (a) Employees called to serve as a juror or as a witness of the Employer, will receive their normal earnings with all benefits for time spent on such duty.

Court Duties. 15.01 Any Employee required by law to attend court for Jury Duty, Coroners Duty or Witness for the Crown in a criminal prosecution, excluding jury selection shall be reimbursed at their hourly rate of pay less any witness fees paid by the court. No person thus engaged shall receive more than eight (8) hours compensation in any one (1) day. Employee cannot earn more as a juror/witness fees than if they had worked.

  • General Duties It shall be the duty of the Owner Trustee to discharge (or cause to be discharged) all of its responsibilities pursuant to the terms of this Agreement and the Sale and Servicing Agreement and to administer the Trust in the interest of the Holder, subject to the Basic Documents and in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Owner Trustee shall be deemed to have discharged its duties and responsibilities hereunder and under the Basic Documents to the extent the Servicer has agreed in the Sale and Servicing Agreement to perform any act or to discharge any duty of the Trust or the Owner Trustee hereunder or under any Basic Document, and the Owner Trustee shall not be liable for the default or failure of the Servicer to carry out its obligations under the Sale and Servicing Agreement.
