Civil Protection. The Parties recognise the need to minimise the impact of natural and man-made disasters. The Parties affirm their common commitment to promoting prevention, mitigation, preparedness and response measures in order to increase the resilience of society and infrastructure, and to cooperating as appropriate, at bilateral and multilateral political levels to progress towards such objectives.
Civil Protection. There shall be no discrimination against any Member of the Bargaining Unit covered by this contract in a manner which would violate any applicable laws on the basis of race, color, creed, national origin, age, gender, or marital status in the evaluation, employment, transfer, or promotion of personnel.
Civil Protection. ARTICLE 109 The Parties shall develop and strengthen their cooperation on natural and man-made disasters. Cooperation shall be conducted while taking into account the interests of the Parties on the basis of equality and mutual benefit, as well as the interdependence existing between the Parties and multilateral activities in the field. ARTICLE 110 Cooperation shall aim at improving the prevention of, preparation for and response to natural and man-made disasters.
Civil Protection. ARTICLE 117 The Parties shall develop and strengthen their cooperation on natural and man‑made disasters. Cooperation shall be conducted considering the interests of the Parties on the basis of equality and mutual benefit, as well as taking into account the interdependence existing between the Parties and multilateral activities in the field of civil protection. ARTICLE 118 Cooperation shall aim at improving the prevention of, preparation for and response to natural and man‑made disasters. ARTICLE 119 The Parties shall, inter alia, exchange information and expertise and implement joint activities at national, regional and international level. Cooperation shall include the implementation of specific agreements and administrative arrangements in this field, concluded between the Parties according to the respective powers and competences of the EU and its Member States and in accordance with the legal procedures of the Parties. ARTICLE 120 The cooperation shall cover, amongst others, the following objectives:
Civil Protection. Article 196 1 The Union shall encourage cooperation between Member States in order to improve the effectiveness of systems for preventing and protecting against natural or man-made disasters. Union action shall aim to: a support and complement Member States' action at national, regional and local level in risk prevention, in preparing their civil-protection personnel and in responding to natural or man-made disasters within the Union; b promote swift, effective operational cooperation within the Union between national civil-protection services; c promote consistency in international civil-protection work.
Civil Protection. Parties reaffirm their commitment to continue implementing obligations arising from the agreement on Civil Protection.
Civil Protection. The National System of Civil Protection has established, in each federal and municipal entity, civil protection organizations to handle emergencies occurring in each jurisdiction. Civil Protection has prepared the “ANEXO III - Plan de Respuesta a Emergencias con Materiales Peligrosos” (Annex III - Hazardous Materials Response Plan). This plan is designed to be used by all entities in Mexico to aid in developing contingency plans for hazardous materials incidents. Civil Protection. The Parties shall develop and strengthen their cooperation on improving the prevention of, preparation for and response to natural and man-made disasters. Cooperation shall, in particular, aim at enhancing Kosovo’s civil protection capacities and at Kosovo’s gradual approximation to the EU acquis related to disaster management.
Civil Protection. (PL 3.2) Plans have been made to respond to emergencies that may develop in the community as a result of occurrences at the project site. In addition, commitments have been made, and are being kept, to assist the community in the event of civil emergencies not directly related to the mine. This program began in operation in 2008 and continued throughout slowdown. Funding for civil protection and to further refine and implement the community emergency response plan is allocated for each quarter of 2010.
