Casual Trust Employees. (a) This Article will not apply to Casual Trust employees. Instead, such employees will receive vacation pay at the rate of four per cent of base rate, exclusive of overtime and premiums, for each pay period. If Casual employees work more than 12 months they will be entitled to take up to three weeks time off without pay as vacation in each 12 month period. This period will be approved as outlined in clause 8.08. It will not be considered a break in service, nor will it contribute to hours worked for the purpose of the accumulation of hours for the service formula.

  • Student Employees A student employee is an employee who is hired for short-term work which is not ongoing. He/she is normally in the process of completing his/her post-graduate studies and is expected to return to his/her studies after an agreed employment period. The employee's benefits and working conditions are as per Article 34 (Temporary Employees).

  • Shift Employees Employees who work rotating shift patterns or those who work qualifying shifts shall be entitled, on completion of 12 months employment on shift work, to up to an additional 5 days annual leave, based on the number of qualifying shifts worked. The entitlement will be calculated on the annual leave anniversary date. Qualifying shifts are defined as a shift which involves at least 2 hours work performed outside the hours of 8.00am to 5.00pm, excluding overtime.   • Retiree Medical Benefits If Executive is or would become fifty-five (55) or older and Executive's age and service equal sixty-five (65) and Executive has at least five (5) years of service with the Company within two (2) years of Change in Control, Executive is eligible for retiree medical benefits (as such are determined immediately prior to Change in Control). Executive is eligible to commence receiving such retiree medical benefits based on the terms and conditions of the applicable plans in effect immediately prior to the Change in Control.

  • Health and Welfare Trust Fund Contingent upon the Fund being jointly and equally trusteed, the Employer shall contribute to the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 870 Health and Welfare Trust Fund in accordance with the attached Appendix A and forming part of this Agreement.

  • Terminating Employees A) When a regular employee with more than twelve (12) months’ service terminates employment, the Employer shall pay for vacation entitlement accrued to the date of termination, less vacation pay if any, paid in accordance with this Article.
