Assistance to Transferred Teachers. 1. All teachers who are transferred, voluntarily or involuntarily, either from one primary subject area to another primary subject area or two or more grade levels, are eligible for in-service. After consultation with their administrative supervisors, they may be expected to attend District provided in-service training for not more than ten (10) clock hours during their first school year in the new teaching position. These teachers either will be released from their teaching duties or be reimbursed at $20.00 per hour for this in-service training. The in-service training must be related to the requirements of the new teaching assignment.

Administrative transfer of teachers will be done as early as possible prior to the beginning of the school year. Any transfers that occur from two weeks before school starts through the school year will be given assistance by the District in moving from their previous assignment to their newly assigned location.

  • Dependent Care Assistance Program The County offers the option of enrolling in a Dependent Care Assistance Program (DCAP) designed to qualify for tax savings under Section 129 of the Internal Revenue Code, but such savings are not guaranteed. The program allows employees to set aside up to five thousand dollars ($5,000) of annual salary (before taxes) per calendar year to pay for eligible dependent care (child and elder care) expenses. Any unused balance is forfeited and cannot be recovered by the employee.
