APPOINTMENTS, PROMOTIONS, TENURE. 11.01 Preamble The process of developing recommendations on the appointment of faculty is a peer-review and collegial process. The Employer recognizes that input and recommendation from members of the same discipline as the contemplated appointment are important; however, it is agreed that the Employer determines the faculty complement necessary to carry out its objectives and mission, and final decisions are the responsibility of the Board of Regents and President. 11.02 Ranks of Appointment All initial appointments of full-time faculty members shall be at one of the following ranks: Full Professor Associate Professor Assistant Professor Lecturer 11.03 Categories of Appointment All initial appointments of full-time faculty members shall be in one of the following categories: Tenured Probationary (tenure-track) Limited Term 11.04 Rank Criteria The following criteria will be used as general guidelines when considering the minimum qualifications of members relative to the indicated ranks. Une évaluation n’est pas attendue du directeur du département. Le rapport porte sur tous les aspects des activités des membres, tels que décrits dans le présent article 10 « Activités universitaires ». Pour la préparation de leur rapport annuel, les membres utilisent le formulaire approuvé par le Sénat de l’Université de Sudbury et fourni par le Secrétaire général.   • APPOINTMENTS AND PROMOTIONS 17.1 Appointments and promotions shall be based on merit and fitness to be ascertained so far as practicable by competitive examinations. Examinations shall be used and conducted to aid in the selection of qualified employees, and shall consist of recognized selection techniques which will, in the opinion of ANAHEIM, test fairly the qualifications of candidates.

  • Non-Promotive Appointment 254. An employee or officer who is a permanent appointee following completion of the probationary period or 2,080 hours of permanent service, and who accepts a non-promotive appointment in a classification having the same salary grade, or a lower salary grade, the appointee shall enter the new position at that salary step which is the same as that received in the prior appointment, or if the salary steps do not match, then the salary step which is immediately in excess of that received in the prior appointment, provided that such salary shall not exceed the maximum of the salary grade. Further increments shall be based upon the seniority increment anniversary date in the prior appointment.

  • Medical Appointments Medical appointments may be charged to sick leave, provided the minimum time charged is not less than one-half (1/2) hour. Each absence shall be reported separately and authorized in advance by the employee's immediate supervisor.

  • Medical/Dental Appointments ‌ Where medical and/or dental appointments cannot be scheduled outside the employee's working hours, sick leave with pay shall be granted.

  • Appointment of Stewards A. The Union will certify to the Employer in writing a xxxxxxx or stewards and alternates in accordance with the fol- lowing general guidelines. Where more than one xxxxxxx is appointed, one shall be designated chief xxxxxxx. The selection and appointment of stewards or chief stewards is the sole and exclusive function of the Union.   • Continuing Appointments A Continuing appointment signifies the right of a Member to continuous employment that may be terminated only through the mechanisms provided in Article 8.

  • Appointments The Fund hereby appoints the Transfer Agent to act as sole transfer agent and registrar for all Shares in accordance with the terms and conditions hereof and as administrator of plans and appoints the Transfer Agent as dividend disbursing agent and processor of all payments received or made by or on behalf of the Fund under this Agreement, and the Transfer Agent accepts the appointments. Fund shall provide Transfer Agent with certified copies of resolutions appointing the Transfer Agent as transfer agent.

  • Committee Appointments Members of the transfer screening committee and transfer interview committee shall be taken from the general hiring committee. The hiring committee will determine the appointments to the transfer screening and interview committees under conditions in Sections 5.3.2.1 and 5.3.2.2.

  • Initial Appointments The Company appoints the Trustee as the initial Paying Agent, the initial Registrar and the initial Conversion Agent.
