Annual Leave Taken on Return from Parental Leave. G.9.10.1 In accordance with the Parental Leave and Employment Protection Xxx 0000, while an employee is absent on parental leave, their annual leave will continue to accrue and the employee may become entitled to annual leave. Any annual leave taken within a twelve (12) month period after the employee returns to work is calculated on the basis of the Employee’s “average weekly earnings” for the preceding twelve (12) months.

Annual Leave Taken on Return from Parental Leave. In accordance with the Parental Leave and Employment Protection Xxx 0000, while an Employee is absent on parental leave, their annual leave will continue to accrue and the Employee may become entitled to annual leave. Any annual leave taken within a twelve (12) month period after the Employee returns to work is calculated on the basis of the Employee’s “average weekly earnings” for the preceding twelve (12) months. The University will pay more than what the Act provides and will pay the Employee’s usual base pay for annual leave taken in the twelve (12) month period after returning from parental leave, if the Employee had taken all available annual leave (entitlement and accrual) prior to the commencement of parental leave. The use of this calculation method is subject to the Employee returning to work for no less than six (6) months. If employment ends within six (6) months of the return to work, then the Employee agrees that any overpayment for annual leave will be deducted from the Employee’s final pay.

  • Parental Leave/Adoption Leave An employee will be granted unpaid parental leave for a period up to and including thirty-five (35) weeks, upon request and verification of:

  • Parental Leave Allowance (a) An employee who qualifies for parental leave pursuant to Clause 26.02, shall be paid a parental leave allowance in accordance with the Supplemental Unemployment Benefit (SUB) Plan. In order to receive this allowance, the employee must provide to the Employer proof of application and eligibility to receive employment insurance benefits pursuant to the Employment Insurance Act. An employee disentitled or disqualified from receiving employment insurance benefits is not eligible for parental leave allowance.

  • Parental Leaves Parental leave of absence without pay shall be granted to biological or adoptive parents who request such a leave as provided below. ASF Members who intend to use parental leave according to the provisions of this section should notify the President/designee as soon as it is practical. The leave shall commence on the date requested by the ASF Member, and shall continue for a period up to nine (9) months. Parental leave may be extended for an additional six (6) months upon application to and approval by the President/designee.

  • Parental Leave of Absence A. A female unit member may use any or all accumulated leave during pre- and post-natal care for that period of time she is temporarily disabled, as determined by the unit member and her physician.

  • Annual Leave (a) An employee may elect with the consent of the employer, subject to the Annual Xxxxxxxx Xxx 0000, to take annual leave not exceeding five days in single day periods or part thereof, in any calendar year at a time or times agreed by the parties.

  • Early Return From Leave If the amount of leave needed is actually less than initially requested, the employee must notify the District of such an occurrence. Once the employee provides such notification, the District must reinstate the employee to the same or equivalent position within two (2) days.
