ACCUMULATING & CARRYING OVER VACATION DAYS. Employees may accumulate up to fifteen (15) days of vacation, however, all employees must use at least five (5) days per year thereafter. Any days that cannot be carried over as accumulated will be lost. This shall be interpreted as follows: The maximum accumulation of vacation leave will be fifteen (15) days of vacation on June 30 of any year. Any employee having more than fifteen (15) days of vacation on June 30 of any year shall forfeit all days in excess of the fifteen (15) days. Therefore any employee who separates from District service shall be compensated for any accrued days up to the maximum of fifteen (15) days at the applicable rate.

  • Vacation Days Employee shall be entitled to the same paid vacation days each calendar year during the term of this Employee Agreement as authorized by the Company for its other employees.

  • Prime Time Vacation Period Subject to the provisions of this article, it is the intent of the parties that no employee will be restricted in the time of year they choose to take their vacation. The Employer will make every effort to allow employees to take their vacation during the period of April 15th to October 15th inclusive, which will be defined as the prime time vacation period.

  • Vacation Period ‌ The choice of vacation periods shall be granted to employees on the basis of seniority with the Employer except where the period requested would be detrimental to the operation of the Employer.

  • Work During Vacation Period No employee shall be required to work during the employee's vacation once the vacation request has been approved.

  • Vacation Accumulation (a) Vacations are not cumulative from year to year.

  • Maximum Vacation Accrual Employees may accrue vacation up to a maximum of two hundred forty (240) hours. An employee who has reached the maximum accrual level may continue to accrue vacation until his or her next anniversary date, at which time any vacation accrued in addition to the two hundred forty (240) hour maximum accrual will be extinguished. With the written approval of the appropriate Vice President, an employee may accrue more than two hundred forty (240) hours of vacation when he or she is precluded from taking a previously scheduled vacation because of University needs. Any such written approval will specify a timeline for the employee to use any excess vacation accrual, after which any excess vacation accrual will be extinguished.

  • Vacation Periods Vacation schedules will be set by the employee’s immediate supervisor(s) and sent to the Office of Human Resources for approval. Employees may request a particular period for vacation. Vacation days may not be taken in advance of their accrual. Those employees who are on a 12-month teacher contract are paid during Spring Break and Winter Recess, however, are not expected to be in attendance or perform duties during those breaks.

  • Vacation Accrual Regular employees shall accrue hours of vacation with pay for each hour of compensation to a maximum of eighty (80) hours per biweekly work period according to the following schedule, commencing with the employee's hire date of his latest period of County employment.

An employee will not receive pay in lieu of vacation time, except upon retirement or termination, or as requested by the employee in Clause 18.13 (Vacation Payout).
