Significant Subcontractor definition

Significant Subcontractor has the meaning set forth in Section 4.1(c).
Significant Subcontractor means: where there is a subcontracting arrangement, each proposed subcontractor where that proposed subcontractor will be contributing significantly, either in terms of value or importance to the performance of the Works;
Significant Subcontractor means an entity engaged, or to be engaged, under a subcontract directly with a supplier for a high value procurement contract, where the value of that subcontract is $10 million or more (exclusive of GST).

  • If the DBOM Contractor must replace any Significant Subcontractor identified in Table 5.4 for any reason, the DBOM Contractor shall only utilize replacement Subcontractors of equivalent qualifications and reputation, and any such replacement shall be subject to BWS approval as set forth in this subsection.

  • To qualify for the BWS’s approval, a written request must be submitted to the Officer-in-Charge demonstrating how the proposed change will be equal to or better than the Significant Subcontractor identified in Table 5.4. The written request shall include a comprehensive qualifications statement of the potential replacement Subcontractor and a side-by-side comparison of the qualifications of the original Significant Subcontractor and the proposed substitute Significant Subcontractor.

  • Any change to a Significant Subcontractor identified in Table 5.4 shall be proposed by the DBOM Contractor to the BWS with reasonable advance notice for the BWS’s review and approval.

  • The DBOM Contractor shall afford the BWS an opportunity to interview senior representatives of the proposed substitute Significant Subcontractor with respect to such matters.

  • The BWS shall have the right within 30 days following receipt of such information or interview, whichever is later, to disapprove the proposed substitute Significant Subcontractor, which right of disapproval shall not be exercised unreasonably.


More Definitions of Significant Subcontractor

Significant Subcontractor means any Subcontractor identified as a “Significant Subcontractor” in Schedule 19 (Key Individuals and Approved Subcontractors) or which is performing Contract Services pursuant to a Subcontract with a contract value equal to or greater than $250,000.
Significant Subcontractor means any Subcontractor identified as a “Significant Subcontractor” in Appendix 10 (Key Personnel and Approved Subcontractors) which is engaged for any portion of the Design-Build Work representing at least 5% of the Base Design-Build Price.

  • Significant Subsidiary means any Subsidiary that would be a “significant subsidiary” as defined in Article 1, Rule 1-02 of Regulation S-X, promulgated pursuant to the Securities Act, as such Regulation is in effect on the Issue Date.

  • Major Subcontractor means, any Subcontractor with whom Contractor will enter (or has entered) into a Major Subcontract. 1

  • Sub-subcontractor means a Person engaged by a Subcontractor to perform a portion of the Trade Contractor Work. The term “Sub-Subcontractor” also includes any lower tier Persons engaged by Sub-Subcontractor to perform a portion of the Trade Contractor Work.

  • Reporting Subcontractor With respect to the Master Servicer or the Trustee, any Subcontractor determined by such Person pursuant to Section 11.08(b) to be "participating in the servicing function" within the meaning of Item 1122 of Regulation AB. References to a Reporting Subcontractor shall refer only to the Subcontractor of such Person and shall not refer to Subcontractors generally.

  • Significant Subsidiaries means, as of any date of determination, collectively, all Subsidiaries that would constitute a “significant subsidiary” under Rule 1-02 of Regulation S-X promulgated by the SEC, and each of the foregoing, individually, a “Significant Subsidiary.”

  • Subcontractor means any supplier, distributor, vendor, or firm that furnishes supplies or services to or for a prime contractor or another subcontractor.

  • Subcontractors means subcontractors or subconsultants at any tier that are under the direct or indirect control or responsibility of the Contractor, and includes all independent contractors, agents, employees, authorized resellers, or anyone else for whom the Contractor may be liable at any tier, including a person or entity that is, or will be, providing or performing an essential aspect of this Contract, including Contractor’s manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers.

  • Sub-Contractor means the person named in the Contract for any part of the works or any person to whom any part of the contract has been sublet by the contractor with the consent in writing of the Engineer-in-charge and will include the legal representatives, successors and permitted assigns of such persons.

  • Contractor means the individual or entity, that has entered into this contract with the Commonwealth.

  • Principal of a subcontractor means (i) any individual who is a member of the board of directors of, or has an ownership interest of five per cent or more in, a subcontractor, which is a business entity, except for an individual who is a member of the board of directors of a nonprofit organization, (ii) an individual who is employed by a subcontractor, which is a business entity, as president, treasurer or executive vice president, (iii) an individual who is the chief executive officer of a subcontractor, which is not a business entity, or if a subcontractor has no such officer, then the officer who duly possesses comparable powers and duties, (iv) an officer or an employee of any subcontractor who has managerial or discretionary responsibilities with respect to a subcontract with a state contractor, (v) the spouse or a dependent child who is eighteen years of age or older of an individual described in this subparagraph, or (vi) a political committee established or controlled by an individual described in this subparagraph or the business entity or nonprofit organization that is the subcontractor.

  • Major Subcontract means any Subcontract with a Subcontractor for those portions of the Work listed in Section 1.3 of Attachment G.

  • Contractor Personnel means Contractor’s employees and subcontractors (as well as any employees or subcontractors of those subcontractors) performing the Services.
