Rest home definition

Rest home means a boarding home or other institution where food or lodging, together with care or attention are furnished, with or without charge, for two or more persons who, on account of age, infirmity, physical or mental defect, or other disability, require attention or care, excepting a home maintained by a person to whom the residents are related by blood or marriage.

Rest home means a facility that provides residential based health care with on-site (usually 24 hour) support to residents requiring nursing care or significant support with the activities of daily living. This may include a rest home or retirement village based hospital specialising in geriatric care.
Rest home. – means a building in which persons who are harboured, received or lodged and where, in addition, to sleeping accommodation and meals, nursing, medical or similar care and treatment may be provided, but shall not include a hospital, a children’s home, a nursing home, a home for the aged, a care home facility or other similar establishment.
