Period of Maintenance definition

Period of Maintenance means the specified period of maintenance from the date of completion of the works, as certified by the Engineer.
Period of Maintenance means the period during which the contractor is obliged to guarantee the work or defined portions o work against -defect and during which he is obliged to perform any maintenance procedure that may be specified by the engineer-in-charge and shall be calculated from the date of the certificate of completion given by the engineer-in-charge under the said clause from the respective dates so certified.

  • Throughout the Period of Maintenance the Contractor shall notify the Engineer what work or operations it is intended to be carried out on the Site and he shall carry out any instruction which the Engineer may give as to times and manner of working so that any inconvenience to the Public is kept to a minimum.

  • As soon as in the opinion of the Engineer, the Work shall have been substantially completed and shall have satisfactorily passed and final test that may be prescribed by the contract, the Engineer, shall on receiving a written undertaking by the Contractor to finish any outstanding work during the Period of Maintenance issue a certificate of completion in respect of the Work and the period of maintenance of the Works shall commence from the date of such certificate.

  • The Contractor shall insure against such liability with an insurer approved by the Employer for sum of the established norms during the entire period till completion of Period of Maintenance.

  • The Engineer will give the Contractor due notice of his intention to carry out any inspections during the Period of Maintenance and the Contractor shall upon receipt of such notice arrange for a responsible representative to be present at the times and dates named by the Engineer.

  • The trench shall be surfaced with 15 cm compacted thickness of base layer material as specified above.The surface shall be maintained until the end of the Period of Maintenance and shall not be topped up above the level of the original surface to allow for settlement.
