MINORITY AND WOMEN BUSINESS ENTERPRISES. It is the City’s policy to ensure that Minority and Women Business Enterprises ("MWBEs") have the full opportunity to compete for and participate in City contracts. The objectives of Chapter 15, Article V of the City of Houston Code of Ordinances, relating to City-wide Percentage Goals for contracting with MWBEs, are incorporated into this Agreement. Contractor shall make good faith efforts to award subcontracts or supply agreements in at least % of the value of this Agreement to MWBEs. The City’s policy does not require Contractor to in fact meet or exceed this goal, but it does require Contractor to objectively demonstrate that it has made good faith efforts to do so.
