Legal spouse definition

Legal spouse means Employee’s husband or wife as defined or recognized under State law in the State where the Employee resides.
Legal spouse means the spouse to whom a Member is legally married at the date of death. If more than one spouse is a Legal Spouse the Trustee shall in its discretion determine one to be the Legal Spouse to the exclusion of the others.
Legal spouse means the person lawfully married to the Employee according to the applicable Provincial legislation.
