Labor Claims means claims, investigations, charges, citations, hearings, consent decrees, or litigation concerning: wages, compensation, bonuses, commissions, awards, or payroll deductions; equal employment or human rights violations regarding race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, handicap, veteran’s status, marital status, disability, or any other recognized class, status, or attribute under any federal, state, local or foreign equal employment Law prohibiting discrimination; representation petitions or unfair labor practices; grievances or arbitrations pursuant to current or expired collective bargaining agreements; occupational safety and health; workers’ compensation; wrongful termination, negligent hiring, invasion of privacy or defamation; immigration or any other claim based on the employment relationship or termination of the employment relationship.
Labor Claims means claims based on an employment relationship or termination of an employment relationship.
Labor Claims means any employment and/or social security related claim, whether judicial or administrative, including but not limited to claims for rights, benefits, indemnities or actions that could correspond to the employees pursuant to the Labor Law, Social Security Law, Civil Code, Working Environment and Conditions Law, Housing Policy Law, National Institute for Cooperative Education Law, Feeding Law for Employees, their Regulations, as well as any other legal or contractual provision related to the services performed by the employees.

Labor Claims means any Claim or Liability made, brought by or in any way relating to any employee or independent contractor, including Claims related to compensation and/or benefits (including health, dental and/or COBRA), and further including any Claim made pursuant to any applicable Laws relating to employment standards, occupational health and safety, labor relations, workers compensation, pay equity, employment equity, the Americans with Disabilities Act, as amended, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act of 1988, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, as amended, the Older Workers Benefit Protection Act, as amended, the Family and Medical Leave Act, as amended, the Fair Labor Standards Act, as amended, or any other federal, state, or local, statutory or decisional Law regarding labor discrimination.
Labor Claims means Pre-Petition Claims derived from labor legislation or resulting from work accidents, pursuant to Art. 41, item I of the LRF.

  • Prior Claims means the Competing Claims to which the Authority’s right to the Building Aid is subordinated by the School Financing Act.

  • Medical leave means leave of up to a total of 12 workweeks in a 12-month period because of an employee’s own serious health condition that makes the employee unable to work at all or unable to perform any one or more of the essential functions of the position of that employee. The term “essential functions” is defined in Government Code section 12926. “Medical leave” does not include leave taken for an employee’s pregnancy disability, as defined in (n) below, except as specified below in section 11093(c)(1).
