FCPA Governmental Authority definition

FCPA Governmental Authority means (i) any national, federal, state, county, municipal, local, or foreign government or any entity exercising executive, legislative, judicial, regulatory, taxing, or administrative functions of a governmental nature, (ii) any public international organization (such as the World Bank, the European Union, the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization, or the World Intellectual Property Organization), (iii) any agency, division, bureau, department, or other political subdivision of any government, entity or organization described in the foregoing clauses (i) or (ii), (iv) any company, business, enterprise, or other entity owned or controlled by any government, entity, or organization described in the foregoing clauses (i), (ii) or (iii) or (v) any political party.

  • Applicable Governmental Authority means the FERC within the United States and the appropriate governmental authority with subject matter jurisdiction over reliability in Canada and Mexico.
