Competent Authority definition

Competent Authority and ‘Appellate Authority’ shall mean the following:
Competent Authority means authority nominated to exercise power of approval, sanction and acceptance concerning administrative, financial and technical aspects of transactions done on behalf of the Bank.
Competent Authority means Executive Director or Group General Manager or General Manager (In-charge) or General Manager or BHEL Officers who are empowered to act on behalf of the Executive Director or General Manager (In-charge) or General Manager of BHEL.

  • The Institution certifies that are not the subject of any past the Principal Investigator and itself or pending governmental or regulatory investigation, inquiry, warning, or enforcement action (collectively, Competent Authority Action) related to its conduct of clinical research that has not been disclosed to Hexal.

  • If a Competent Authority wishes to inspect the Institution or the Principal Investigator in connection with their participation in the Trial, then the Institution and the Staff shall, to the extent reasonably practicable, (i) immediately notify Hexal thereof and use their best efforts to obtain approval for Hexal or its agents to be present at the inspection and (ii) cooperate with the relevant Competent Authorities and comply with the legitimate requirements of an inspection.

  • The Institution will notify Hexal promptly if it receives notice of or becomes the subject of any Competent Authority Action regarding its compliance with ethical, scientific, or regulatory standards for the conduct of clinical research, if the Competent Authority Action relates to events or activities that occurred prior to or during the period in which the Trial was conducted.

  • The Institution also shall make the Staff available to the relevant Competent Authority to explain and discuss such documentation, data and information.

  • Evaluation of bids: On the basis of assessment of general conditions and basis of Technical Bids of only qualified bidders shall be considered for evaluation by the Technical Evaluation Committee constituted by the Competent Authority.

Competent Authority means such authority as may be notified by the Government;

Competent Authority means any supranational, national, regional, local or municipal government or regulatory authority, body, agency, court, ministry, inspectorate or department, or any official, public or statutory person or body, police, customs or port authority, in each case acting in accordance with its or their statutory or legal authority in any jurisdiction having authority over the Customer / ABP or having responsibility for the regulation or governance of any aspect of the performance of these Conditions and/or the Port and/or any activities carried out at the Port;
Competent Authority means the minister, government department or other authority having power to issue and enforce regulations, orders or other instructions having the force of law in respect of the subject matter of the provision concerned;
Competent Authority means the authority, designated by each Member State in accordance with Article 69, unless otherwise specified in this Directive;
Competent Authority means Managing Director of Nodal Agency, himself and/or a person or group of persons nominated by him for the mentioned purpose herein;
