Competent Authority definition

Competent Authority and ‘Appellate Authority’ shall mean the following:
Competent Authority means authority nominated to exercise power of approval, sanction and acceptance concerning administrative, financial and technical aspects of transactions done on behalf of the Bank.
Competent Authority means Executive Director or Group General Manager or General Manager (In-charge) or General Manager or BHEL Officers who are empowered to act on behalf of the Executive Director or General Manager (In-charge) or General Manager of BHEL.

More Definitions of Competent Authority

Competent Authority means such authority as may be notified by the Government;
Competent Authority means any local or national agency, authority, department, inspectorate, minister, ministry official or public or statutory person (whether autonomous or not) of any government or of any country having jurisdiction over this Agreement or of any of the Parties or over the development or marketing of medicinal products including, but not limited to, the European Commission, the European Court of Justice and the Food and Drug Administration of the United States of America.
Competent Authority means any central government, provincial regional government, municipality regional government, other local authorities, the courts of law, or any other judicial/administrative authority having the jurisdiction over all or any of the matter arising from or involving this Agreement;
Competent Authority means the minister, government department or other authority having power to issue and enforce regulations, orders or other instructions having the force of law in respect of the subject matter of the provision concerned;
Competent Authority means Managing Director of Nodal Agency, himself and/or a person or group of persons nominated by him for the mentioned purpose herein;
Competent Authority means the authority, designated by each Member State in accordance with Article 69, unless otherwise specified in this Directive;
Competent Authority means one governmental authority designated by a Party to be responsible, within such geographical areas as the Party may think fit, for receiving the notification of a transboundary movement of hazardous wastes or other wastes, and any information related to it, and for responding to such a notification, as provided in Article 6;
