Ambush Marketing definition

Ambush Marketing means any activity, commercial or non-commercial, undertaken by any person or entity whether public or private, that creates, implies or refers to a direct or indirect association of any kind (including an association in the minds of members of the public) with any Games Body or the Games (including by reference to the city of London and the year 2012), which has not been authorised by any Games Body;
Ambush Marketing means selling (e.g., including, but not limited to, sponsorship, merchandise, vendor space), advertising, or marketing, by any third party that is not a WTC-authorized sponsor, merchandiser, and/or vendor of the Event, where such selling, advertising, or marketing (i) is in connection with, or in proximity to, the Event, or (ii) otherwise has the effect of exploiting the goodwill of the Event and/or gaining market exposure by way of intrusive and/or associative marketing practices.
Ambush Marketing means any attempt by any entity to gain an unauthorised commercial association with the Competition itself, or to exploit the goodwill and publicity generated by the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup India 2022™ or FIFA in a manner not authorised by FIFA.

  • Ambush Marketing means marketing, promotional, advertising and public relations activities relating to the Games, which are intended to capitalise on the goodwill associated with the Games or make unauthorised use of any rights and opportunities relating to the Games (including any tickets), but which are undertaken by a person not authorised to do so by WTGF or Host.

  • The OCOG agrees to act in a manner consistent with, and to coordinate all of its monitoring efforts with, the IOC and the IOC’s monitoring programs in relation to unauthorised uses of Olympic Properties, Ambush Marketing and unauthorised Games Broadcast, Coverage and Exhibition.

Ambush Marketing means any attempt by any unauthorised entity to exploit the goodwill in the Competitions or to gain an association with FIFA and/or either or both of the Competitions, whether or not to the detriment of the Commercial Affiliates or Media Rights Licensees, and whether by way of an unauthorised use of the Competition Marks, tickets or otherwise.

Ambush Marketing shall include, but not be limited to, the unauthorized use of StadCo and TeamCo’s intellectual property; the unauthorized use of free tickets for Stadium Events in consumer prize giveaways, contests, sweepstakes or other promotions; the creation of any advertising that incorporates a theme or image that would lead a reasonable person to believe the non-sponsor advertiser is in some way associated with or has been endorsed by the Team, StadCo, the NFL, or any of the NFL’s Entities; and any other advertising, marketing, or promotion that is undertaken by an unauthorized third party and gives the public the impression that the unauthorized third party: (i) has an official association, approval or sponsorship with the with the Team, StadCo, the NFL of any of the NFL Entities, or (ii) otherwise to imply a direct or indirect association, approval, or sponsorship with the Team, StadCo, the NFL of any of the NFL Entities as a means of promoting the unauthorized third party’s business, products, or services.
Ambush Marketing means an attempt by the Hirer or any member of the Hirer’s Group to associate itself directly or indirectly with any event operated by JCR in order to benefit from the goodwill or prestige of such event, without paying a commercial fee for that benefit. For the purpose of this clause, “Group” means: in relation to a company, that company, any subsidiary or holding company from time to time of that company, and any subsidiary from time to time of a holding company of that company and a reference to holding company or a subsidiary means a "holding company" and "subsidiary" as defined in section 1159 of the Companies Xxx 0000.
