Adopting Employer definition

Adopting Employer means a state or political subdivision thereof that adopts this Plan by completing and executing an Adoption Agreement, which may include a joint powers agreement.
Adopting Employer means the Executive Branch of the Federal Government. Adopting Employer also means an Employer that signs an adoption agreement, accepted by OPM, to participate in this Plan. An Employer remains an Adopting Employer until the Plan terminates, the Adopting Employer withdraws from the Plan, or OPM terminates the Adopting Employer’s participation in the Plan.
Adopting Employer means an eligible employer under §457(e) of the Code and Article XII herein which elects to adopt this plan on behalf of its employees through execution of an adoption agreement with the County of Kern.

Examples of Adopting Employer in a sentence

More Definitions of Adopting Employer

Adopting Employer means (a) any business entity in which the Company owns a majority interest upon the Effective Date or (b) any other business entity, which, following the Effective Date, is authorized by the Board to adopt the Plan.

If the Plan is utilizing a non-standardized Adoption Agreement, then an Affiliated Employer is not considered an Adopting Employer unless such Affiliated Employer has specifically adopted the Plan.
