WORKING OUT OF CLASS (Refer to Personnel. Rules Section 3.07.080) The principle for paying employees for performing higher level job responsibilities due to operational necessity is based on such considerations as: the employee’s ability and qualifications to perform at a higher level, whether the employee would be required to perform only routine or a significant range of the higher job responsibilities, whether the lower level position is in direct line and job scope of the higher class, and the length of time necessary for an employee to perform in a higher class. The purpose of compensating employees for performing work in a higher class is to establish a system by which employees will continuously receive a pay rate comparable to those job factors that establish pay for each class of work in City service. Authorization for an assignment to work in a higher class must be given by the employee’s supervisor and, except under emergency circumstances, requires advance approval of the department head, Human Resources Director and City Manager. The following conditions shall prevail as the definition and standards of compensation:

  • Working Out of Classification 11.1 Employer shall avoid, whenever possible, working an employee on an out-of-class assignment for a prolonged period of time. Any employee working an out-of-class assignment for a period in excess of fifteen (15) working days during a year shall receive the rate of pay for the out-of-class assignment in a higher classification not later than the sixteenth (16th) day of such assignment. For purposes of this Article, an out-of-class assignment is defined as an assignment of an employee to perform, on a full-time basis, all of the significant duties and responsibilities of a position different from the employee’s regular position, and which is in a classification higher than the classification held by such employee. The rate of pay for an approved out-of-class assignment shall be the same rate the employee would receive if such employee received a regular appointment to the higher classification.

  • Working Out of Class Section 1 Whenever an employee is requested to perform the tasks of a higher graded position that employee shall receive the rate of pay of that higher graded position or five percent (5%) above his/her regular rate of pay if the rate of pay for the higher graded position is less than five percent (5%) over and above that employee's regular rate of pay and his/her regular position whichever is greater for each and every hour worked in any higher grade during that contract year.

  • Collocation Transfer of Responsibility Without Working Circuits The Collocation is not serving any End User Customers and does not have active service terminations (e.g., Interconnection trunks or UNE Loops) or 2) Collocation Transfer of Responsibility With Working Circuits – The Collocation has active service terminations, such as Interconnection trunks or is serving End User Customers.

  • Supervision of Contractor Personnel The Contractor must supply all necessary and sufficient supervision over the work that is being performed and will be held solely responsible for the conduct and performance of his employees or agents involved in work under the Agreement.

  • Client Classification 7.1. We shall not have an obligation to treat our clients in different classes depending on their knowledge and expertise.

  • Access to Personnel File Each employee shall have reasonable access to his/her personnel file for the purpose of reviewing any evaluations or formal disciplinary notations contained therein, in the presence of the Director of Personnel or designate. An employee has the right to request copies of any evaluations in this file.

  • Access to Personnel Files All employees shall be allowed access to their personnel files during normal working hours for inspection and/or copies of documents which will be provided by the Employer. Such inspection shall be made subject to prior arrangement with the Employer.

  • REDUCTION OF PERSONNEL A. The District and the Association recognize the possibility that the financial condition of the schools at a given time could necessitate a curtailment of program on the part of the District, including a reduction of personnel. The parties also recognize that such determinations are within the exclusive discretion of the District. In the event of a general cutback or reduction of personnel through layoff from employment, the following procedure, based upon program needs, will be utilized by the District or its designated representatives:

  • Work Out of Classification (a) When the Agency assigns an employee, in writing, for a limited time period to perform the major distinguishing duties of a position at a higher level classification for ten (10) consecutive calendar days, that employee shall be paid at the first step in the assigned classification or five percent (5%) more than his/her current rate of pay, whichever is greater.

  • DEVELOPMENT OR ASSISTANCE IN DEVELOPMENT OF SPECIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS/ STATEMENTS OF WORK Firms and/or individuals that assisted in the development or drafting of the specifications, requirements, statements of work, or solicitation documents contained herein are excluded from competing for this solicitation. This shall not be applicable to firms and/or individuals providing responses to a publicly posted Request for Information (RFI) associated with a solicitation.
