Water Supply Station. The Contractor shall plan, design and construct a fresh water storage facility of approx. 300 m² and pressure increase plant in accordance with the Employer’s Requirements and the requirements of local Water supply Company. The dimensions shall be in accordance with the Contractor’s design subject to the approval by the relevant Authority and by the Engineer. The water supply station shall include a Control Room (if necessary) and for servicing the water treatment system, the filtered water system, pumps for all water storage and distribution requirements, filtration and chlorination injection equipment (if necessary) and all other associated equipment. A chlorine storage room shall be provided with sufficient space for consumable to cover a two year period. The building shall have a reinforced concrete frame supported on concrete foundations supported on piles. The roof shall be reinforced concrete with the specified waterproofing system. Wall shall be rendered blockwork or reinforced concrete. Metal gratings and covers and associated support steelwork and fixings at water supply station shall be stainless steelwork. Chemically resistant pipes and neutralization sumps shall be provided in the drainage system. Suitable doors to provide access for maintenance and safe operational requirements and rain- proof ventilation openings shall be provided and fitted. Personnel doors shall also be provided as necessary. Provision for lifting and removing equipment shall be by hoist.

The NYISO, in consultation with the Connecting Transmission Owner, shall provide a best estimate cost, including overheads, for the purchase and construction of its Interconnection Facilities and provide a detailed itemization of such costs. Costs associated with Interconnection Facilities may be shared with other entities that may benefit from such facilities by agreement of the Interconnection Customer, such other entities, the NYISO, and the Connecting Transmission Owner.
