Union Committee Persons and Stewards. The Union shall elect up to two (2) members of the bargaining unit who shall function as the Union Bargaining Committee and representatives of the employees in all matters pertaining to this collective agreement. One of the three representatives so elected shall be the bargaining unit Chairperson. It is understood that when processing grievances, no more than a total of one Committee member or xxxxxxx shall meet with the Employer at any one time, except for Step 2 when a total of two Union Committee representatives (Union Committee members and/or stewards combined) may meet with the Employer.

Union Committee Persons and Stewards. The Union shall elect up to three (3) members of the bargaining unit who shall function as the Union Bargaining Committee and representatives of the employees in all matters pertaining to this collective agreement. One of the three representatives so elected shall be the Union Chairperson. In addition to the three Union Committee members, the Union may elect up to an additional four (4) stewards in order to provide representation for all departments and shifts. It is understood that when processing grievances, no more than a total of one Committee member or xxxxxxx shall meet with the Employer at any one time, except where necessary to ensure equal representation or at Step 3 when a total of two Union Committee representatives (Union Committee members and/or stewards combined) may meet with the Employer.

  • Union Officers and Committee Members Union Officers and Committee Members shall be entitled to leave their work during working hours in order to carry out their functions under this Agreement, including, but not limited to, the investigation and processing of grievances, attendance at meetings with the Employer, participation in negotiations and arbitration. Permission to leave work during working hours for such purposes shall first be obtained from the immediate supervisor. Such permission shall not be unreasonably withheld. All time spent in performing such Union duties, including work performed on various committees, as referred to in this Agreement, shall be considered as time worked.

  • UNION COMMITTEE AND STEWARDS 6.01 No individual employee or group of employees shall undertake to represent the Union at meetings with the Corporation without proper authorization of the Union. In order that this may be carried out, the Corporation will recognize:

Labor/Management Committees The parties recognize that the holding of periodic meetings for the exchange of views and information contributes to the effectiveness of the labor/management relationship. Therefore, the parties shall establish Labor/Management Committees (LMC), in accordance with the provisions in this Article, for the purpose of addressing matters of concern in the areas of personnel policies, practices, conditions of employment, and other matters affecting employees.   • LABOR MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE 1. A Statewide Labor Management Committee consisting of not more than five (5) members selected by the VSEA from among bargaining units represented by VSEA and not more than five (5) members selected by the State shall meet periodically to discuss a mutually agreed agenda which may include methods of improving labor relations, productivity, safety, and health problems of a continuing nature, or other problems which have an impact on conditions of employment; provided, however, these sessions are not for the purpose of discussing pending grievances or for collective bargaining on any subject.

  • Union Grievance Committee (a) The Employer shall recognize a Union Grievance Committee which consists of:

  • Union Committee The Union shall appoint and maintain a Committee comprising persons who are employees of the Employer, and/or the Senior Union Official, or her/his representative, which shall be known as the Union Committee. The Union at all times shall keep the Employer informed of the individual membership of the Committee.

  • Joint Labor/Management Committees Purpose and Membership. Joint Labor/Management Committees are established to provide a forum for communications and problem-solving between the two parties and to deal with matters of a general personnel Union/Employer concern, as well as professional practices within the hospital related to patient care and professional issues. The Committees will work toward the improvement of patient care and recommend ways and means to improve patient care; and will address problems and concerns related to staffing and workloads. The Committees’ function will be limited to an advisory capacity and shall not include any decision making or collective bargaining authority. Committee memberships:

  • Union Bargaining Committees ‌ A union bargaining committee shall consist of employees who are representatives of the Union together with the President of the Union or designate. The Union shall have the right at any time to have the assistance of members of the staff of the Union when negotiating with the Employer.
