TIME OFF/HOLIDAY, SICK, VACATION. Broad Option Benefit (XXX) hours can be used for time off with pay (vacation, sick or holiday time) or can be cashed out without taking time off. XXX hours start accumulating with an employee’s first paycheck. Regular Full-Time or Part- Time employees will be eligible to start using accumulated XXX hours for time off after the completion of his or her 90 day probationary period. After his or her first anniversary, an employee will then have the option to cash out XXX hours in addition to the using them for time off with pay. Each pay period, an employee will earn a portion of his or her yearly maximum of XXX hours. For every hour that an employee is paid, XXX hours are earned. This includes Regular, Overtime, and XXX hours. XXX hours will be paid at your current regular rate of pay under the heading “Personal.” Each new anniversary year, XXX hours will be earned based on the years of service, and new yearly maximum of XXX hours will be adjusted accordingly (see chart).   • Vacation/Holidays The Executive shall be entitled to all public holidays observed by the Company and vacation days in accordance with the applicable vacation policies for senior executives of the Company, which shall be taken at a reasonable time or times.

  • Premium Holidays If the employer receives a premium holiday(s), the employees shall not be required to pay their portion of the premium(s) for the holiday month(s).

  • Holiday Week In the event that a holiday is celebrated during the week (Monday through Friday), the remaining four days of the week may be worked as a four ten shift at the straight time rate on a voluntary basis with three (3) days’ notice to the Union. In the event the job is down due to weather conditions, then Saturday may, at the option of the Employer be worked as a voluntary make-up day at the straight time rate.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday.

  • Annual Holidays (i) On completion of 12 months continuous service an employee shall be entitled to annual paid leave of 4 working weeks.

  • PAID HOLIDAYS 12.01 (a) A full-time employee who otherwise qualifies hereunder shall receive the following paid holidays: New Year's Day (Jan. 1st) Labour Day 3rd Monday in February Thanksgiving Day Easter Monday Remembrance Day (Nov.11th) Good Friday Christmas Day (Dec. 25th) Victoria Day Boxing Day (Dec. 26th) Canada Day (July 1st) Civic Holiday

  • Banked Vacation Once every five years an employee may bank one full year's vacation to be taken in conjunction with the next year's vacation. For the purposes of this clause, all vacation in the second year must be taken concurrently.

  • PLANT HOLIDAYS 6.01 All employees covered by this Agreement will receive eight (8) hours pay at their regular straight time rates for each of the following Plant Holidays (regardless of the day on which the holiday falls) in addition to any wages which they may be in receipt of for work performed on such holidays:

  • Weeks Vacation Subject to Article 17.08 and Article 17.01 (a) (ii), employees shall be entitled to take five (5) weeks vacation leave with pay during the first and subsequent complete fiscal years following the date in which they complete fourteen (14) years of service. Such leave shall be earned at the rate of two and one-twelfth (2 1/12) days for each completed calendar month of service.

  • Unworked Holidays Eligible employees shall receive pay equal to their normal work shift at their base rate in effect at the time the holiday occurs. An employee who is on the active payroll on the holiday and has worked both the last scheduled shift preceding the holiday and the first scheduled shift succeeding the holiday shall be eligible for pay for such unworked holiday. An exception to this requirement will occur if the employee(s) can furnish proof, satisfactory to the District that because of illness they were unable to work on either of such shifts, and the absence previous to such holiday, by reason of such illness, has not been longer than 30 regular workdays, and they received sick pay for the day(s) missed.
