THE U.S. FOREST SERVICE SHALL. Function as a Cooperating Agency for Federal-aid highway projects. It is responsible for the protection and multiple use management of NFS lands and resources for the benefit of the people of the United States. This responsibility extends to the development of a public lands transportation system both within and providing direct access to NFS lands.
THE U.S. FOREST SERVICE SHALL. A. Retain final responsibility for the content of all environmental analysis documents.
THE U.S. FOREST SERVICE SHALL. A. Work with the WWA and its affiliate organizations to identify appropriate partnership opportunities and jointly pursue such projects in conjunction with the non-motorized winter recreation community and Forest Service districts nationwide, contingent upon availability of funds and personnel, and subject to compliance with applicable federal law, regulations, Forest Plans, or other Forest Service management direction.
THE U.S. FOREST SERVICE SHALL. Have the Regional Forester or authorized designee approve all stewardship project proposals. Complete all necessary National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) requirements. Inform of any changes in stewardship policy, law and regulations. Recognize 's contribution, in a manner acceptable to both parties, in news releases, interpretive signs, photographs, or other media as appropriate. IT IS MUTUALLY AGREED AND UNDERSTOOD BY AND BETWEEN THE PARTIES THAT: PRINCIPAL CONTACTS. Individuals listed below are authorized to act in their respective areas for matters related to this Master Stewardship Agreement.
THE U.S. FOREST SERVICE SHALL. A. Provide the labor, materials and administration necessary to perform as described in the project proposal. The work will be conducted under the supervision of the U.S. Forest Service.
THE U.S. FOREST SERVICE SHALL. A. The U.S. Forest Service agrees to allow the Association to use those facilities that are designated in Section II.A. of the Annual Operating Plan in the Supplemental Project Agreement for the sale of education and interpretive items for the benefit of the visiting public.
THE U.S. FOREST SERVICE SHALL. A. Have the Regional Forester or authorized designee approve all stewardship project proposals.
THE U.S. FOREST SERVICE SHALL. A. From the list identified in the annual letter, contact the Tribal Duty Officer as soon as possible after suppression forces are dispatched to an incident within or directly adjacent to the identified area of mutual interest.
THE U.S. FOREST SERVICE SHALL. X. Xxxxxxxxx priorities and assist with the supervision of the work on NFS lands.
