SUPPLEMENTING LEAVE WITH OTHER PAYMENTS. An employee absent from work for reasons that will entitle the employee to compensation under State Disability, Short or Long Term Disability Insurance, or Workers’ Compensation shall receive, for such period of time as unused sick leave remains, compensation derived from unused sick leave up to an amount that together with State Disability, Short or Long Term Disability Insurance, or Workers’ Compensation payments received shall equal his regular gross pay. During such time as an employee is absent from work due to an injury or illness and is receiving benefits from the Employer’s Workers’ Compensation insurance provider, and such employee has depleted his sick leave and applied vacation time, Employer shall continue to provide health, dental and vision benefits up to 12 weeks, as required by the Family & Medical Leave Act. Vacation and sick time will not accrue if the employee is in an unpaid status.

SUPPLEMENTING LEAVE WITH OTHER PAYMENTS. An employee absent from work for reasons that will entitle the employee to compensation under State Disability, Paid Family Leave, Short or Long Term Disability Insurance, or Workers’ Compensation shall receive, for such period of time as unused sick leave remains, compensation derived from unused sick leave up to an amount that together with State Disability, Paid Family Leave, Short or Long Term Disability Insurance, or Workers’ Compensation payments received shall equal his regular gross pay. The employee will have the option to integrate the above listed external payments with any remaining accrued leave. During such time as an employee is absent from work due to an injury or illness and is receiving benefits from the Employer’s Workers’ Compensation insurance provider, and such employee has depleted his sick leave and applied vacation time, Employer shall continue to provide health, dental and vision benefits up to 12 weeks, or as otherwise legally required, as if the employee were not on leave. Employees maintain responsibility for payment of the employee share of premium(s) during such leave. Vacation and sick time will not accrue if the employee is in an unpaid status.

  • Other Leave with Pay The Employer may grant leave with pay for purposes other than those specified in this Agreement, including military or civil defence training, and emergencies affecting the community or place of work.

  • Other payments You must give your correct TIN, but you do not have to sign the certification unless you have been notified that you have previously given an incorrect TIN. “Other payments” include payments made in the course of the requester’s trade or business for rents, royalties, goods (other than bills for merchandise), medical and health care services (including payments to corporations), payments to a nonemployee for services, payments made in settlement of payment card and third party network transactions, payments to certain fishing boat crew members and fishermen, and gross proceeds paid to attorneys (including payments to corporations).

  • Interaction with Other Leave Entitlements (a) An employee proceeding on unpaid Maternity Leave may elect to substitute any part of that leave with accrued annual and/or accrued long service leave.

  • Effect of Leave Without Pay No benefits or time credit such as sick leave or vacation shall be earned during the period when an employee is absent on leave without pay.

  • Utilization of Sick Leave with Pay Temporary employees who have earned sick leave credits in their temporary appointment shall be eligible for sick leave for any period of absence from employment due to any of the following reasons: • illness; • bodily injury; • disability resulting from pregnancy; • necessity for medical or dental care; • if the employee is a victim of domestic violence, harassment, sexual assault, or stalking; or the parent or guardian of a minor child or dependent who is a victim of domestic violence, harassment, sexual assault or stalking, pursuant to ORS 659A.270 through 659A.290; • attendance at an employee assistance program; • exposure to contagious disease; • for the emergency repair of personal assistive devices which are medically necessary for the employee to perform assigned duties; • attendance upon members of the employee’s or the employee’s spouse’s immediate family, or the equivalent of each for domestic partners, (parent, wife, husband, children, brother, sister, grandmother, grandfather, grandchild, or another member of the immediate household) where the employee’s presence is required because of illness or death; • parental leave. The employee has the duty to insure that they make other arrangements, within a reasonable period of time, for the attendance upon children or other persons in the employee’s care. Certification of an attending physician or practitioner may be required by the Agency to support the employee’s claim for sick leave if the employee is absent in excess of seven (7) days, or if the Agency has evidence that the employee is abusing sick leave privileges. The Agency may also require such certificate from an employee to determine whether the employee should be allowed to return to work where the Agency has reason to believe that the employee’s return to work would be a health hazard to either the employee or to others. (See Section 4 for FMLA and OFLA.)

  • Other Leave With or Without Pay 17.01 In respect to applications for leave made pursuant to this Article, the employee may be required to provide satisfactory validation of the circumstances necessitating such requests.

  • SICK LEAVE WITH PAY LIMITATION 175. An employee who is absent because of disability leave and who is receiving disability indemnity payments may request that the amount of disability indemnity payment be supplemented with salary to be charged against the employee's sick leave with pay credits so as to equal the amount the employee would have earned for a regular work schedule. If the employee wishes to exercise this option, the employee must submit a signed statement to the employee's department no later than thirty (30) days following the employee's release from disability leave.

  • Entitlement to Vacation Leave With Pay An employee is entitled to vacation leave with pay to the extent of his earned credits but an employee who has completed six (6) months of continuous employment may receive an advance of credits equivalent to the anticipated credits for the vacation year.

  • Budget Modifications The total Approved Budget and the assignment of costs may be adjusted based on implementation of the Scope of Work, spending patterns, and unexpended funds, but only by an amendment to the Approved Budget. In no event shall an amendment to the Approved Budget result in payments in excess of the aggregate amount specified in Section 2.01 “Award of Monies” or in approved supplemental funding for the Project, if any. The RECIPIENT may make transfers between or among lines within budget categories without prior written approval provided that:

  • Interaction with Other Leaves Paid parental leave will run concurrently with any unpaid leave(s) that parents may be entitled to under other provisions of this Agreement or provided by law. Employees shall not receive other types of paid leave provided by this Agreement (e.g., sick, vacation, compensatory time) for hours for which they are receiving PPL.
