  • Trial Service Period 1. Except for those employees in an in-training appointment, all other employees with permanent status who are promoted, or who voluntarily accept a transfer or demotion into a job classification for which they have not previously attained permanent status, will serve a trial service period of six (6) consecutive months. The Employer may extend the trial service period to no more than twelve (12) consecutive months, provided the employee is given written, performance based reasons for the extension. The Employer agrees to notify the employee when it intends to extend the trial service period beyond six (6) months. The employee may choose to notify the union.

  • Probationary Period A new employee will be considered on probation until he has completed forty-five (45) days of work (or 337.5 hours of work for employees whose regular hours of work are other than the standard work day), within any twelve (12) calendar months. Upon completion of the probationary period he shall be credited with seniority equal to forty-five (45) working days. With the written consent of the Hospital, the probationary employee and the President of the Local Union or designate, such probationary period may be extended.   • Probationary Periods Employees transferring to a different title will serve a six (6) calendar month probationary period. In the event the probationary period is not satisfactorily completed, the affected employee shall be returned to Job Bank assignment and the employee’s “bumping”, layoff or transfer rights under the Agreement or other applicable authority shall be restored to the same extent such rights existed prior to the employee taking the probationary position. Upon the affected employee’s first such return to the Job Bank, the employee shall be entitled to remain in the Job Bank for the greater of ten (10) business days, or the duration of the applicable Job Bank period, as determined under Article I, paragraph 2, that remained as of the date the employee began in the probationary position. The rate of compensation for the remainder of the employee’s time in the Job Bank will be the same as the rate in effect as of the employee’s last day in the probationary position. Return to the Job Bank terminates the employee’s work in the probationary assignment and, therefore, time served following the return to the Job Bank shall not be construed to count toward the completion of the probationary period.

  • Partial Disposal During Term of Service Agreement Throughout the Term of the Service Agreement, LEA may request partial disposal of Student Data obtained under the Service Agreement that is no longer needed. Partial disposal of data shall be subject to LEA’s request to transfer data to a separate account, pursuant to Article II, section 3, above.

  • Promotional Probationary Period An employee who has previously completed the requisite probationary period and who is rejected during a subsequent probationary period for a promotional appointment shall be reinstated to the former position from which the employee was appointed. If the employee was dismissed from employment during the promotional probationary period, the employee shall not be entitled to such reinstatement rights.

  • Effective Period Termination This Agreement shall become effective as of the date of its execution and shall continue in full force and effect until terminated as hereinafter provided. This Agreement may be terminated by each Investment Company, on behalf of a Fund, or by the Custodian by 90 days notice in Writing to the other provided that any termination by an Investment Company shall be authorized by a resolution of the Board, a certified copy of which shall accompany such notice of termination, and provided further, that such resolution shall specify the names of the persons to whom the Custodian shall deliver the assets of the affected Funds held by the Custodian. If notice of termination is given by the Custodian, the affected Investment Companies shall, within 90 days following the giving of such notice, deliver to the Custodian a certified copy of a resolution of the Boards specifying the names of the persons to whom the Custodian shall deliver assets of the affected Funds held by the Custodian. In either case the Custodian will deliver such assets to the persons so specified, after deducting therefrom any amounts which the Custodian determines to be owed to it hereunder (including all costs and expenses of delivery or transfer of Fund assets to the persons so specified). If within 90 days following the giving of a notice of termination by the Custodian, the Custodian does not receive from the affected Investment Companies certified copies of resolutions of the Boards specifying the names of the persons to whom the Custodian shall deliver the assets of the Funds held by the Custodian, the Custodian, at its election, may deliver such assets to a bank or trust company doing business in the State of California to be held and disposed of pursuant to the provisions of this Agreement or may continue to hold such assets until a certified copy of one or more resolutions as aforesaid is delivered to the Custodian. The obligations of the parties hereto regarding the use of reasonable care, indemnities and payment of fees and expenses shall survive the termination of this Agreement.

  • Completion of Probationary Period An employee who has completed the probationary period may be suspended without pay or discharged only for cause. An employee who has completed the probationary period and is suspended without pay or discharged shall have access to the grievance procedure.

  • Service Period The Service Period of this Agreement is for 1 year in respect of the unit and starts on the Start Date as defined in the Terms and Conditions, or, in the case of an extension of renewal of the provision of Support Services, starts on the date of payment of the Charges.
