School-Year Training a. The Board will grant each college semester to bargaining unit employees having a work program of 25 hours per week released time of two hours per week with pay for study at an approved college or for high school equivalency training, provided that in that semester the employee is enrolled for and completes a total of at least five semester hours of such study or training.

School-Year Training. 1. Once each school year, the District will offer to all members of the unit the complete training necessary to obtain Security Certification/Licensing. The District will compensate unit members for any District training which takes place outside the workday and/or work year at the unit member’s hourly rate. The “work year” shall mean the agreed upon teacher calendar. Unit members shall be notified of summer training by June 1 of that year. The District training shall not total more than five (5) days outside of the school calendar per school year. Such five (5) days shall take place in the week after the teacher calendar ends in June or the week before the teacher calendar begins in September. Training may also take place on Superintendent’s Conference Days and Staff Development Days.

  • Annual Training The Governing Board shall receive initial training and annual training thereafter. Pursuant to O.C.G.A §20-2-2072 and relevant State Board rules, the training shall include, but not be limited to, best practices on school governance, the constitutional and statutory requirements relating to public records and meetings, and the requirements of applicable statutes and rules and regulations.

  • First Aid Training In the interests of the occupational safety and health of employees, the Employer will undertake an in-service program of first aid training aimed at providing a first aid officer for each department.

  • Job Training The Employer and the Union shall establish a Joint Committee on Training and Skill Upgrading for the following purposes:

  • Employee Training The Provider shall provide periodic security training to those of its employees who operate or have access to the system. Further, Provider shall provide LEA with contact information of an employee who LEA may contact if there are any security concerns or questions.

  • Off the Job Training Where it is agreed that an employee undertakes job related training provided by the Employer or by a Third Party, that training may be undertaken either on or off the job. Where courses are available during normal working hours, the employee has first option of attending training at these times. If such training is undertaken during normal working hours, the employee concerned will not suffer any loss of pay. Where the Employer requires an employee to undertake mandatory job related training after hours, single time rates shall apply. Any costs associated with standard fees for prescribed courses and prescribed textbooks (except those textbooks which are available in the Employer's technical library) incurred in connection with the undertaking of training will be reimbursed by the Employer upon production of evidence of such expenditure. Provided that reimbursement will also be on an annual basis subject to the presentation of reports of satisfactory progress. Travel costs incurred by an employee undertaking training in accordance with this clause which exceed those normally incurred in travelling to and from work will be reimbursed by the Employer.

  • Board Member Training Within 90 days after the Effective Date, each member of the Board of Directors shall receive at least two hours of training. This training shall address the corporate governance responsibilities of board members, and the responsibilities of board members with respect to review and oversight of the Compliance Program. Specifically, the training shall address the unique responsibilities of health care Board members, including the risks, oversight areas, and strategic approaches to conducting oversight of a health care entity. This training may be conducted by an outside compliance expert hired by the Board and should include a discussion of the OIG’s guidance on Board member responsibilities.‌ New members of the Board of Directors shall receive the Board Member Training described above within 30 days after becoming a member or within 90 days after the Effective Date, whichever is later.
