Remitting Deductions Clause Samples
The Remitting Deductions clause defines the obligation of one party to withhold and remit certain amounts, such as taxes or other statutory deductions, from payments made under the agreement. In practice, this means that if a payment is subject to withholding tax or similar deductions required by law, the paying party must deduct the appropriate amount and remit it to the relevant authorities on behalf of the recipient. This clause ensures compliance with legal requirements regarding deductions and protects both parties from potential penalties or liabilities arising from failure to properly handle such remittances.
